Within Teleport, Teleport Next Day (TNX) is our newest business unit, built to solve one bold challenge: creating an affordable international next-day delivery service for small and medium-sized e-commerce brands across Southeast Asia.   • The Split: This position features a compressed base salary (set at 70% of standard corporate base) but hooks into a highly aggressive commission structure. Top performers who consistently smash parcel volume targets have the realistic potential to earn up to 3x their base salary via incentives.
  • The Guardrail: We operate a high-performance, rapid-feedback loop. Because this is an urgent market-capture initiative, underperformance for 3 consecutive months will result in immediate contract review or termination. We back our hunters fully, but we cut fast if the hustle isn't there.

A DAY IN LIFE

We are looking for a relentless Sales Development Representative based in Kuala Lumpur for a high-velocity, 12-month contract role. Your sole mission is to acquire mid-sized e-commerce brands and Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) sellers shipping from Malaysia to regional markets (such as Singapore and Hong Kong).

You will own the sales funnel from lead generation to recurring shipments. This role is built for a street-smart, self-motivated sales professional who thrives under pressure and wants to monetize their hustle through an aggressive commission structure.

Key Responsibilities

1. High-Velocity Customer Acquisition (70% Outbound / 30% Inbound)

  • Own Your Pipeline: While marketing will provide approximately 30% of your leads via digital channels, you are fully expected to self-generate the remaining 70% through aggressive groundwork.
  • Ground Hunting: Get your hands dirty - knock on doors, visit local retail fairs, e-commerce exhibitions, cluster zones, message founders on social media etc.
  • Competitor Interception: Identify and pitch to e-commerce brands currently using legacy express couriers, demonstrating how our air-network speed and flat pricing provide a superior solution.
  • Drive to Action: Manage the entire early funnel, closing prospects rapidly and guiding them tightly from initial signup to placing their vital first shipment.

2. CRM & Process Discipline

  • Maintain absolute hygiene on your sales pipeline by logging all activities, objections, and deal statuses inside HubSpot.
  • Manage a high volume of active concurrent leads systematically without letting prospective accounts drop off.

Requirements

  • Mandatory Courier Sales Experience: You must have 1–3+ years of direct experience selling express courier, postal, or cross-border B2C logistics products in Malaysia. Candidates coming from high-volume domestic or regional express competitors will be prioritized.
  • Existing Network Potential: A pre-existing relationship or network within the Malaysian SMB/D2C seller ecosystem is highly advantageous. You should know who the shippers are and how to reach them.
  • Street-Smarts & Grit: Exceptional objection-handling skills. You don't rely on scripts; you understand how to navigate gatekeepers, handle pricing resistance, and uncover a seller's true operational pain points.
  • Target-Driven Mindset: High organizational discipline and comfortable being judged strictly on output metrics (such as parcel volumes and first-ship conversions).
  • Communication: Fluency in English is a minimum. Additional fluency in Bahasa Malaysia and/or Mandarin will be a plus in building rapport with local founders.
