Overview
Anchanto’s OMS is a core product that enables customers to manage orders across multiple sales channels, fulfillment nodes, and operational workflows. As omni-channel commerce becomes more complex, customers expect the OMS to support not only order capture, but also orchestration across marketplaces, webstores, stores, warehouses, and partner ecosystems. This requires strong capabilities in order lifecycle management, allocation, inventory visibility, fulfillment coordination, returns, exchanges, customer promise management, and integrations.
Anchanto needs an OMS Business Analyst who can work closely with the Product Manager and independently drive requirement analysis, workflow detailing, analytics, documentation, and execution support. This role is essential to ensure requirements are complete, clear, testable, and aligned with real-world retail and omni-channel operations.
Strategy
  • Support the Product Manager in converting product strategy into structured backlogs and execution-ready requirements.
  • Analyze customer pain points, workflow gaps, and operational challenges across omni-channel retail use cases.
  • Support requirement discovery for OMS capabilities such as order capture, fulfillment orchestration, store fulfillment, inventory visibility, returns, and exchanges.
  • Use analytics, product usage, and customer feedback to identify product gaps and improvement opportunities.
Execution
  • Write business requirements, user stories, workflows, use cases, edge cases, and acceptance criteria for OMS capabilities.
  • Independently drive requirement discussions and structure ambiguous business needs with minimal direction from the Product Manager.
  • Define functional requirements and support NFR discussions covering usability, reliability, auditability, configurability, and scale.
  • Work with Engineering and QA through design, development, testing, rollout, and release stabilization.
  • Participate in API requirement discussions and define expectations for validations, status handling, mappings, event flows, exceptions, retry behavior, and business rules.
  • Review requirements for completeness, consistency, and implementation readiness, and track dependencies and clarifications through execution.
Measurement & Success Metrics
  • Use tools such as Mixpanel, Tableau, Pendo, or similar platforms to analyze feature adoption, user journeys, workflow friction, product usage, and drop-off points.
  • Support the Product Manager in tracking adoption, workflow completion, release impact, issue trends, and customer usage patterns.
  • Build dashboards and reports to support product reviews and decision-making.
  • Use insights from analytics, release outcomes, support escalations, and customer feedback to guide requirement improvements.
Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, QA, Delivery, Support, Customer Success, and commercial teams to gather inputs and align requirements.
  • Engage with customers and internal stakeholders to understand business needs, pain points, and omni-channel retail workflows.
  • Facilitate requirement walkthroughs, clarifications, and review discussions with stakeholders.
  • Partner with teams across WMS, Integration, Parcel Tracking, and Store App where cross-product alignment is required.
  • Support Sales, KAM, Implementation, Product Marketing, and Marketing teams with requirement clarity and adoption readiness.
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
  • Create and maintain BRDs, functional specs, workflow diagrams, user stories, release notes, FAQs, troubleshooting guides, and self-help content.
  • Support user guides, API documentation inputs, technical notes, and training materials.
  • Ensure documentation is accurate, structured, reusable, and aligned with product releases.
  • Conduct walkthroughs, demos, and knowledge-sharing sessions for internal teams and customers where needed.
Internal Tooling
  • Use Aha!, Jira, and Confluence for requirement management, documentation, backlog hygiene, sprint readiness, and traceability.
  • Maintain structured records of requirements, assumptions, clarifications, dependencies, and release updates.
  • Use analytics tools such as Mixpanel, Tableau, and Pendo to support product insights and reporting.
Customer UAT & Issue Resolution
  • Support customer UAT planning and execution for strategic OMS releases.
  • Ensure requirements are testable and UAT scenarios are clearly defined.
  • Work with Implementation, QA, and customer teams to address feedback and close gaps before launch.
  • Support issue triage and analysis for requirement, workflow, and business logic gaps.
  • Work with Product, Engineering, QA, Support, and Customer Success to identify root causes and convert learnings into requirement improvements.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 4–8 years of experience in Business Analysis, Product Analysis, or product-oriented functional roles in SaaS or enterprise software.
  • Strong experience in writing business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, workflows, use cases, edge cases, and acceptance criteria.
  • Proven ability to independently drive requirement analysis and execution support with minimal supervision.
  • Strong omni-channel commerce and retail domain experience.
  • Good understanding of OMS and retail order lifecycle management across marketplaces, webstores, physical stores, warehouses, and partner fulfillment networks.
  • Strong understanding of workflows such as order capture, order allocation, store fulfillment, ship-from-store, click-and-collect, returns, exchanges, inventory visibility, and customer promise management.
  • Experience working with Engineering on APIs, business rules, validations, mappings, integrations, and workflow logic.
  • Hands-on experience with analytics and product insight tools such as Mixpanel, Tableau, Pendo, or similar tools.
  • Ability to analyze feature adoption, user journeys, product behavior, workflow bottlenecks, and customer usage patterns.
  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders across Product, Engineering, QA, Delivery, Support, Customer Success, and Sales.
  • Strong stakeholder coordination, analytical thinking, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and crisply.
  • Hands-on experience using Aha!, Jira, and Confluence or equivalent tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in e-commerce, retail technology, supply chain, logistics, or B2B SaaS platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Technology, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in SaaS, omni-channel commerce, order management, retail technology, or supply chain technology products.
  • Exposure to warehouse operations, parcel tracking, store operations, and ecosystem integrations.
  • Understanding of architecture, integration platforms, middleware, webhooks, APIs, and enterprise integration design patterns.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and microservices architecture, is good to have.
  • Strong understanding of business process analysis and workflow modeling.
  • Expertise with APIs, XML, and JSON is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills in dashboarding, reporting, and product usage analysis.
  • Ability to work effectively in a lean team while independently owning assigned workstreams.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder influence skills.
