About this Branch Manager role at Sunsrce
The Branch Manager is responsible for oversight of all aspects of counter sales and warehouse operations; including inventory, product handling shipping/receiving and personnel management in a friendly, fast-paced team environment.
Job Duties:
Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures
Address and resolve all warehouse or inside sales issues utilizing a positive and creative approach
Train and oversee all staff, including: material handling, allocation & distribution of product, inventory controls and manufacturing processes
Manage inventory control and cycle counting while insuring quality control
Communicate in a positive manner with delivery personnel and team members to ensure proper flow of orders & products
Maintains high initiative for process improvements
Collaborate with all appropriate departments and personnel to ensure customer satisfaction
Encourage positive thinking approaches to problem solving and motivation through employee recognition
Present a positive and professional image of Stuart Hose & Pipe to all customers, vendors, suppliers, and others meeting the company.
Addresses performance issues and employee relations situations that effect day-to-day operations of the warehouse
Involved in staffing needs including communicating with staffing agencies to fill open positions
Qualifications:
Hose and Fittings product knowledge is preferred, but not required
2-4 years managerial experience, preferably in warehouse environment
Ability to professionally and tactfully interact with all levels within the organization
Superior interpersonal, communication, facilitation, presentation and listening skills
Ability to perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision
Good time management skills
Must be comfortable lifting heavy items and using warehouse machinery
Work Environment:
This position works in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and standard warehouse equipment such as hand tools, box cutters and tape dispensers.
