About this Pest Control Service Technician - Birding | Port Melbourne role at Rentokil Initial
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a great attitude to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis, based out of our Port Melbourne depot - servicing all around Melbourne.
As a Pest Control Service Technician - Birding, your responsibilities will include inspecting clients' properties to identify bird infestations, applying necessary treatments and installing bird management systems using the appropriate tools and equipment around our commercial sector customers.
About the role:
- Inspecting client premises thoroughly for any sign of pests
- Carrying out measures as required to eliminate the pests
- Identifying sales leads in the region where possible
- Building rapport with and communicating with clients regarding the eradication and prevention process
- Developing and maintaining long-term customer relationships
- Use of power tools to install hardware and various equipment
- An ability to consistently work within both our client's and Rentokil's safety parameters
- Communicate to internal stakeholders and clients both orally and in writing
Desirable but not essential:
- Currently based in Melbourne & eligible to work full-time in Australia
- Current and valid Australian driver's licence
- Confident in driving a manual vehicle
- High-risk licence EWP - if not, can support you to obtain
- White Card Construction - if not, can support you to obtain
- Working At Heights - if not, can support you to obtain
- Physically fit and the ability to work autonomously and drive long distances
- Confident using android mobile phone service app/tablet
