Selkirk Sport is looking for a detail-oriented Hard Goods Product Developer based in Malaysia to join our growing Accessories team. Working directly under the Head Designer of Accessories, you will focus on the technical development and production of eyewear, nets, and training devices. You will be the technical bridge between our creative vision in the US and our manufacturing excellence in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Technical Execution: Transform creative concepts and sketches into detailed, factory-ready Tech Packs (including BOMs, construction details, and material callouts).
    • Design Support: Assist the Head Designer in the development of hardware and training accessories. Use Industrial Design principles to help with concept generation and ergonomic problem-solving.
    • Prototyping & Sampling: Oversee the prototyping of molded parts and hardware. Conduct initial quality checks and troubleshoot production hurdles on-site at the factory.
    • Manufacturing Liaison: Collaborate with factories to understand tooling constraints and ensure designs are optimized for production.
    • Project Management: Ensure development timelines are met by staying in close contact with production partners and providing weekly status updates.

  • Required Skills & Qualifications:

    • Experience: 3-5 years in industrial design, consumer hardware, or sports accessories.
    • Software Mastery: Expert level in Adobe Illustrator (for technical 2D drafting). Experience with 3D design software (Onshape, Gravity Sketch, or Blender) is a major plus and a requirement for long-term growth.
    • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of injection molding, assembly, and hardware manufacturing.
    • Communication: Fluent in English (written and verbal). Must be comfortable sharing ideas early for critique and handling feedback professionally.
    • Mindset: An entrepreneurial "finisher" who thrives on details, organization, and the challenge of moving a product from a sketch to a shelf.
