The Product Data Associate is responsible for the systematic management and accuracy of product information across all sales channels. This role services the "source of truth" for the company’s vast catalog of pickleball paddles, apparel, and accessories, ensuring that technical specifications, pricing, and digital assets are consistent from the warehouse to the website.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Information Management (PIM): Maintain and update the central database of product SKUs, ensuring weights, dimensions, materials, and technical specs are 100% accurate.
  • E-Commerce Integration: Coordinate with the web team to push product data to Shopify Plus and other digital storefronts, uploading product descriptions and SEO metadata.
  • Catalog Integrity: Audit the global catalog to identify and fix data discrepancies between internal inventory systems and external retail partner portals.
  • Cross-Functional Liaison: Act as a bridge between Product Development (getting specs for new launches), Marketing (ensuring correct assets are used), B2B (wholesale product listings), and DTC Teams (Selkirk.com Listings).
  • Product Listing Management: Manage multiple brands and product categories that operate on different timelines in parallel. 

Qualifications:

  • Education/Experience: Typically requires 2+ years in data entry, e-commerce operations, or supply chain management.
  • Technical Proficiency: * Advanced Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and data cleaning are essential).
  • Experience with Shopify Plus or similar ERP/PIM systems.
  • Typing speed of 50+ WPM with high accuracy.  
  • Attention to Detail: Selkirk emphasizes "first-principles thinking"—you must be a "stickler for details" where "close enough" is not acceptable.  
  • Communication: Strong written skills to translate technical product specs into clear, customer-facing information.
