About this Associate Director, Growth Marketing role at Jamcity
Jam City is seeking an Associate Director of Growth Marketing to play a central role in delivering on ambitious growth plans for Jam City’s portfolio of games. The ideal candidate has a track record of driving high, sustainable, and profitable growth with experience leading a data-driven test-and-learn approach for growth marketing acceleration.
The Associate Director of Growth Marketing will be responsible for overseeing the optimization of current User Acquisition efforts (UA), spearheading App Store Optimization (ASO), and driving an impactful creative ad strategy, while expanding the breadth and depth into new channels and funnel types with the goal of increasing revenue and ROAS. They will work closely with studios, publishing, product marketing, and creative services teams to grow our games.

We’re looking for a strategic leader to drive repeatable and scalable results across marketing channels and tactics, and who can identify cross-functional growth opportunities.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Global Paid & Organic Growth: Oversee the planning and execution of the global acquisition marketing program, blending paid UA channels with robust organic growth and ASO strategies to maximize storefront conversion.

Budget Management: Manage and optimize a large, multi-million-dollar acquisition marketing budget.

Creative Ad Strategy: Lead the overarching paid creative strategy; collaborate with internal and external creative teams to brief, test, and iterate on high-performing ad creatives that drive engagement and lower CPIs.

Storefront Optimization: Own the ASO roadmap, overseeing keyword optimization, A/B testing store assets (icons, screenshots, videos), and leveraging store algorithms to boost organic visibility and conversion rates.

Executive Reporting: Own and present key performance metrics—including ROAS, LTV, and internal KPI targets on acquisition marketing, creative performance, and ASO initiatives—to senior leadership.

Data-Driven Insights: Measure the impact of marketing programs on customer behavior, applying insights to refine performance, creative, and store strategies.

MarTech Collaboration: Partner with Data Science to build internal automation, attribution modeling, and campaign management tools to support revenue forecasting.

Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of performance marketers, creative strategists, and ASO specialists focused on paid channels and organic user growth.

Test & Learn Culture: Innovate and implement relentless test-and-learn strategies across ad creatives, store pages, and targeting, investing heavily in areas that drive scalable results.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product marketing, publishing, analytics, studios, and product leadership to identify cross-functional growth opportunities, sharing progress, learnings, and best practices.
REQUIREMENTS

7+ years of performance marketing and mobile UA experience (Gaming industry preferred).

Proven track record of managing both paid acquisition and organic growth/ASO strategies successfully.

Strong experience steering creative ad strategy, including a deep understanding of mobile ad formats, creative trends, and competitive analysis.

Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and optimize a multi-million-dollar acquisition marketing budget.

Strong analytical approach to acquisition funnel metrics measurement, creative performance, and campaign optimizations.

Proficient in Excel, MMPs (e.g., Adjust), ASO intelligence tools (e.g., Sensor Tower, AppTweak), and other data analysis platforms.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Experience hiring and managing a world-class team of growth marketers and/or creative strategists.

Thorough understanding of direct marketing principles, store algorithms, and mobile privacy frameworks (SKAN/Privacy Sandbox).
