BB&E team members provide Environmental Consulting, Facilities Engineering and Program/Project Management Services to Federal and private sectors.
Position Summary
BB&E, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Air Force Supply Planner Support Specialists (Inventory Management Specialist, IMS) to support the 638th Supply Chain Management Group at Robins AFB, GA. These positions are contingent upon contract award. These positions are intended for local hires residing in the Warner Robins, GA area, or candidates willing to relocate, as working on-site is required. Selected candidates will be asked to provide a resume and sign a Letter of Intent for inclusion in BB&E's proposal.
These positions will provide expert item management and supply chain optimization services to ensure the efficient and effective distribution and sustainment of Air Force assets worldwide. You will leverage in-depth knowledge of supply chain principles, repair procedures, logistics processes, and Air Force budgetary systems to manage items, analyze data, and optimize asset distribution. This includes leading, guiding, and motivating personnel while applying specialized analytical techniques to resolve complex inventory management problems.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Requirements identification/development, item management, and requirements execution.
- Evaluating program efficiency.
- Validating repair requirements, and initiating and managing organic/contract arrangements.
- Procuring items and maintaining documentation.
- Optimizing global asset distribution based on customer needs.
- Analyzing data to determine optimal demand planning methods and resolving complex inventory problems.
- Preparing reports and briefings for management and customers.
- Assisting Government personnel.
- Applying knowledge of logistics planning, programming, and budgeting systems.
- Utilizing relevant data systems.
- Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Communicating effectively.
Requirements
Key Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a NACI/CAC is required.
- Active Secret clearance required (interim clearance not acceptable).
- Knowledge - Exceptional understanding of Air Force weapon systems logistics, including:
- Supply plans and sourcing strategies to keep Air Force weapon systems operational.
- Tracking of structural parts, armament, instruments, and engines.
- Management of inventory so parts get to the flightline and repair depots faster.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Software: Proficiency using MS Office software including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Self-Starter: Highly motivated, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines autonomously.
Experience & Education
Experience: Must have at least eight (8) years of experience in Air Force supply chain management performing tasks associated with the supply planner/inventory management functional area described above.
Physical Requirements
- Site visits to operational, production, and warehouse sites may be required.
- Ability to stand/walk/climb/kneel/crouch and remain in a stationary position/sit at least 60% of the time
- Ability to operate office equipment, including computer, copy machine, phone, etc.
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms
- Capable of lifting up to 10 lbs.
- Ability to see details of objects that are less than a few feet away
- Ability to understand the speech of another person, speak clearly so listeners can understand, and talk or hear both in person and by telephone
