About this AI Generative Artist (Freelance) role at Monks

We're looking for a seasoned creative with a sharp eye and a strong command of generative AI, someone who doesn't just prompt, but crafts. Below two films are a good reference. We are looking for a person who is a good storyteller, who can make shots look natural and AI characters look human. Good attention to detail, and integrate imperfections to bring in more realism.
The candidates must have some software skills (ideally background in compositing. vfx or minimum editing). The ability to elevate the AI output further is mandatory. The eye for good looking frames (colour tone, grading, art direction) is required. This is a senior position.
What you'll do
- Concept and produce AI-generated content across static and moving image for multi-platform publishing
- Take raw AI output and elevate it to publication-ready quality through skilled post-intervention and refinement
- Collaborate fluidly across multiple concurrent projects and creative teams
- Stay ahead of global trends, tools, and aesthetic benchmarks in AI-driven visual culture
What you bring
- A portfolio that demonstrates genuine range compelling AI stills and film/video work
- Deep, hands-on fluency with leading generative AI tools (image, video, and beyond)
- An instinctive, trained eye for quality, composition, and visual storytelling
- The craft to know when AI output is almost there and the skill to take it the rest of the way
- Clear, confident communication; you can articulate creative decisions and take direction equally well
- A proactive mindset - you bring ideas, flag opportunities, and don't wait to be told
What's expected
- Experienced professional level. This is not an entry-level role
- You follow the global conversation around AI aesthetics and visual innovation closely
- You hold your own work to a high standard, every time.
Tools
- Aftereffects/Nuke, Photoshop or Equal. (This will give us the confidence that they can elevate the AI output in post)
- 3D software (Good to have, not mandatory)]
AI Tools:
- Must know all the strength and weaknesses of Generative Models.
- Must be fluent with Video Generative Tools and construction of prompts.
- Workspace creation (Magnific Space, ComfyUI, Figma Weave) is a plus.
Portfolio:
- This is AI production first and hence we will keep our eyes out for pureplay AI output.
- Candidate must have AI films that shows scene continuity.
- Must have atleast done product ads.
- Candidate must have consistent looking characters, product proof in their portfolio.
- Have atleast one published AI film (done for a brand, approved and released).
