As a Senior Level Designer at Lighthouse Games, you will be responsible for designing and creating game levels that captivate players and leave a lasting impact. Working closely with the game director and other team members, you will have the opportunity to bring your creative ideas to life and contribute to the development of our next big title.

We value innovation, collaboration, and attention to detail. We are looking for someone who is skilled at designing engaging gameplay mechanics, crafting compelling narratives, and creating visually stunning environments that push the boundaries of what is possible in the gaming industry.

Key Duties Include

  • Work closely with the game director and other team members to create immersive and engaging game levels.
  • Design, implement and iterate game levels, using the latest game engines and tools.
  • Work closely with artists and programmers to ensure high-quality level design that meets technical requirements.
  • Develop story elements, gameplay mechanics, and objectives for each game level.
  • Create and maintain the necessary level documentation including design briefs, flowcharts, and level maps.
  • Collaborate with the art team by providing feedback and guidance on level assets.
  • Mentor junior level designers by providing feedback on their work and offering guidance on how to improve

Requirements

  • Experienced Level Designer within the AAA space.
  • Proficiency in using Unreal 5 and design tools.
  • Strong understanding of game design principles and mechanics.
  • Experience with Blueprints.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
  • Passion for gaming and a strong understanding of current industry trends.
  • Previous experience working on AAA game titles is preferred.
