Physical Therapist Assistant – Fort Lauderdale, FL Outpatient Orthopedic Role
Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL
Position: Physical Therapist Assistant
Setting: Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapy Office
Pay: $30–$36 per hour
Office: Assigned to one Fort Lauderdale office only
We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant in Fort Lauderdale, FL for an outpatient orthopedic physical therapy office. This position supports patients as they work through treatment plans created by the supervising Physical Therapist.
You will help patients complete exercises, improve movement, build strength, and stay consistent with their rehab program. This is a strong fit for a PTA who enjoys working in an active outpatient clinic with clear patient care goals.
Schedule Options:
- 4-day workweek with 10-hour shifts
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Responsibilities:
- Follow treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist
- Guide patients through strengthening, stretching, balance, mobility, and functional activities
- Monitor patient response during treatment
- Report updates, changes, or concerns to the supervising PT
- Support home exercise review and proper technique
- Complete accurate daily treatment notes
- Help keep treatment sessions organized and efficient
Requirements
- Active Florida Physical Therapist Assistant License
- Associate degree from an accredited PTA program
- Outpatient orthopedic experience preferred
- Strong communication and treatment follow-through skills
