The Solutions Engineer provides the technical expertise within RISE's enterprise sales process, designing and validating the solutions that win and retain business clients. Working alongside account executives and partnering across Product, Network Operations, and external technology partners, they translate client requirements into proposals that are both commercially viable and technically deliverable. The role exists to bridge what enterprise clients need with what RISE can build and support.
Duties & Responsibilities
Partner with account executives across enterprise sales cycles to qualify opportunities and progress deals from discovery through to close
Sell enterprise solutions to business clients, using technical credibility to win and close deals
Design technical solutions and architectures across the enterprise portfolio, including SD-WAN, managed firewall, MPLS, Layer 2, SIP trunking, and cloud connectivity
Produce solution proposals, technical architecture documents, and bills of materials for enterprise opportunities
Present solutions to enterprise stakeholders, translating technical architecture into clear business value for both commercial and technical decision-makers
Provide feasibility sign-off on customer technical commitments before they are made
Coordinate with Product, Delivery, and Network Operations to scope, cost, and hand over won solutions
Deliver technical training and enablement to the sales team
Capture client requirements and feedback and route them to Product for roadmap input
Maintain current knowledge of RISE products and partner-led solutions
Qualifications
Tertiary-level education or equivalent practical experience
3+ years in a pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical solutions role within the telecommunications or ICT industry
Demonstrable experience designing and delivering complex technical solutions within enterprise sales cycles
Working knowledge of SD-WAN, managed firewall, network security, MPLS, Layer 2, SIP trunking, and cloud connectivity
Experience producing solution proposals, technical architectures, and bills of materials
