Position Overview
We are seeking a Quality Specialist & Production Control – Mechanisms to support production operations by ensuring materials, components, and assemblies meet established quality and configuration requirements throughout the manufacturing process.
This role is responsible for coordinating material flow, conducting inspections, maintaining traceability, and supporting the timely delivery of high-reliability mechanical products. The ideal candidate brings a strong quality mindset, attention to detail, and experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming materials to verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Document and coordinate the disposition of nonconforming materials in partnership with Quality and Engineering teams.
- Create, verify, and release production kits aligned with work orders and configuration requirements.
- Track materials and assemblies throughout the production lifecycle and maintain accurate system records.
- Perform final inspections of completed assemblies to ensure product, quality, and documentation requirements are satisfied.
- Support manufacturing teams by resolving material discrepancies and maintaining product traceability.
- Prepare products for shipment, including packaging verification, labeling, documentation review, and system closeout activities.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to support compliance and operational requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure production schedules and quality objectives are achieved.
Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree, technical certification, or vocational training in Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering Technology, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
Experience
A minimum of 5 years of experience in production control, quality inspection, manufacturing operations, or a related technical environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting mechanical assembly or complex manufacturing operations.
- Experience performing incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
- Knowledge of configuration management and product traceability practices.
- Familiarity with nonconformance reporting and corrective action processes.
- Experience working in highly regulated or quality-driven manufacturing environments.
- Military experience in a technical, mechanical, maintenance, or logistics-related field.
- Veterans with aviation maintenance or related technical experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a manufacturing and production environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout production areas for extended periods.

- Ability to perform detailed visual inspections of components and assemblies.
- Ability to work with computers and electronic documentation for extended periods.
- Ability to safely handle materials, components, and inspection equipment while following established safety procedures
