Job Summary

We’re looking for a Senior Back-End Engineer to join our engineering team and contribute to the development of robust, scalable, and modern backend systems. You will work closely with other engineers to build services and APIs that power the applications and platforms we deliver. You will be part of a team that promotes a strong sense of ownership, encouraging individuals to take initiative, while fostering learning, problem solving, and continuous improvement. 

 Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and system components 

• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑tested code 

• Participate in technical discussions and contribute ideas to improve architecture and performance 

• Collaborate with product, design, and frontend teams to deliver high‑quality features 

• Support the team in delivering on goals and improving existing systems 

• Monitor the performance and reliability of delivered solutions and help drive improvements 

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Software Engineering, having built web applications, products and solutions in production environments 

• Python experience 

• Hands‑on experience with at least one more backend language (Node.js, Java, Go, PHP, etc.) 

• Understanding of REST APIs, microservices 

• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases 

• Experience with Docker and containers 

• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS preferred) 

• Familiarity with distributed messaging systems (e.g., Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ) for building event-driven architectures. 

• Strong communication and collaboration skills 

• Experience with AI-assisted coding 

Νice to Have 

• Background in startups or high-growth environments. 

• Experience in B2B environments 

• Familiarity with DDD (Domain-Driven Design) 

• Experience in building AI-driven products
