About the role:
YouTube has seen tremendous growth in Indonesia. Millions of Indonesian users use YouTube to enjoy a diverse range of content produced by a dynamic and vibrant creator and partner ecosystem.
As the YouTube Social Marketing Manager, you will work in close collaboration with internal cross-functional teams, external partners, and agencies to identify content trends that align with the YouTube Brand Voice to engage fans of the brand on Social.
You will be the owner of YouTube Indonesia’s channels on YouTube and Instagram and own the mandate of communicating our brand voice using Shorts, Stories & Community Management.
You will bring to life go-to-market plans for content across owned & operated channels, social, and influencers.
You are great at strategy, mobilize quickly, understand the landscape of local social media trends and culture, enjoy dabbling with data to tell a good story, and make compelling presentations that excite global, regional, and cross-functional stakeholders, as well as external partners.
What you will be doing:
- Lead external agency in driving brand love through daily editorial planning and community management to engage the audience through the YouTube Brand Persona.
- Constant experimentation and content innovation by identifying breakthrough content opportunities.
- Analyze successes, failures, learnings, and the way forward on initiatives and experiments.
- Own YouTube Indonesia’s (the brand's) mandate on YouTube and Instagram.
- Work with internal and external partners to identify content ideas and strategies for social-first activations.
- Manage the execution of go-to-market plans and campaigns.
- Steer the developement ofYouTube Indonesia social brand with a specific focus on the user audiences.
Scope involves:
- Oversee social channel and content calendar management across Instagram and YouTube, which can extend to other global channels like TikTok or LinkedIn when needed.
- Project Management: Guide the integration of project timelines, goals, objectives, and budget reconciliations.
- Campaign Management: Manage end-to-end campaign strategy from scoping to resource allocation
- Reporting and measurement on post-campaign analysis, budget recaps, and feedback with proficiency in social media platforms and tools (e.g., Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Brandwatch, Sprout Social, etc.).
- Agency oversight: manage creative agencies, providing precise feedback on content execution, workflow, and campaign ideas.
Must be comfortable with:
- Writing social media briefs
- Analyzing social media data
- Working with cross-functional and regional teams
What you need to be great in this role:
- Professional Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in Brand Marketing, Social Media Marketing, or Digital Strategy (note: experience managing campus/local events on a non-professional basis will not be accounted toward this).
- Agency/Account Hybrid Track Record: A proven track record either managing large-scale creative agencies from the client side, working as an Account Manager or Account Lead, or experience handling major consumer or entertainment brands.
- Project Management Skills: Demonstrated hands-on experience managing complex projects, budgets, and multi-stakeholder timelines.
- Market Nuance: Deep, native-level understanding of the Indonesian digital landscape, the local creator economy, cultural nuances, and social media consumer behavior.
- Communication & Influence: Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English, with a proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic & Data-Driven: Strong strategic thinking and comfortable with data-backed decision-making.
- AI Curiosity: Passionate and inquisitive about AI and new technologies. Understanding and knowledge of AI tools is beneficial, but the ability to learn and digest the benefits and features of AI tools is critical.
