Job Description:
We are seeking a Principal Network Evaluator to protect enterprise networks. In this role, you will work closely with mission stakeholders to identify vulnerabilities, investigate cyber threats, conduct network defense activities, and provide actionable recommendations that strengthen mission capabilities and security. The ideal candidate for this role will be a seasoned cybersecurity professional with strong analytical skills, deep networking knowledge, and a passion for defending complex enterprise environments. Required Qualifications:
- TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance.
- A Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Network Engineering or a related field and eleven (11) years or relevant experience is required. A Doctoral degree (PHD) and seven (7) years, a Master of Science (M.S.) degree and nine (9) years, an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree and thirteen (13) years, or at least eighteen (18) semester hours of military coursework/training in networking, computer science, or cyber topics and thirteen (13) years of relevant experience is also acceptable.
- Experience supporting Computer Network Defense (CND) or defensive cyber operations.
- Experience conducting vulnerability assessments and cybersecurity analysis.
- Experience supporting incident response and network security investigations.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, packet analysis, and enterprise networking concepts.
- Experience working with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms.
- Experience researching system vulnerabilities and developing effective mitigation strategies.
- Practical experience using Splunk and Elasticsearch/Elastic.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience using network analysis tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, or similar packet capture and traffic analysis tools.
- Knowledge of digital forensics, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and vulnerability scanning technologies.
- Familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK framework and NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF).
- Experience developing automation or analysis scripts using languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA), GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or equivalent certifications.
