About the role
At Maxwell, we are looking for an experienced HR Manager to ensure that all people operations are carried on smoothly and effectively. You will be responsible for developing HR strategies and providing sound advice to senior management on all HR related subjects.
This will include monitoring recruitment procedures and managing a team. You should also be able to manage HR programs including defining and maintaining our company's Culture. Onboarding program.
Ultimately, you will help us grow our teams with qualified employees and ensure that all HR needs of the company are being met + aligned with business objectives.
Requirements
Must-Have Requirements
- Proven experience as HR/People Operations Manager in a startup/Fast paced Organisation.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster long-term relationships (with internal teams, external partners and candidates)
- Demonstrable experience managing full-cycle recruiting and hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSs)
- Demonstrable experience managing full-cycle PMS, Solid understanding of Balance Score Card & Talant Management Tools
- Experience in handling employee concerns and ensuring high E-Sat score
- A business acumen partnered with attention to the human element
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills

Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership
- Develop and execute the organization's HR strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on people-related matters.

Talent Acquisition
- Design and implement hiring strategies to attract top talent.
- Oversee workforce planning and recruitment across functions.
- Strengthen employer branding and recruitment processes.
Performance & Talent Management
- Lead performance management frameworks, goal setting, and appraisal cycles.
- Identify high-potential employees and create succession plans.
- Drive learning, leadership development, and career progression initiatives.
Employee Engagement & Culture
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative workplace.
- Develop engagement initiatives that improve employee satisfaction and retention.
- Champion organizational values and culture during periods of rapid growth.
HR Operations
- Ensure smooth HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, HRIS, payroll coordination, and policy implementation.
- Develop scalable HR policies
- Monitor HR metrics and provide insights for decision-making.
Compensation & Benefits
- Design competitive compensation structures and incentive programs.
- Conduct market benchmarking and ensure internal pay equity.
- Oversee benefits administration and employee wellness initiatives.
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Handle employee grievances and conflict resolution.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and statutory requirements.
- Mitigate organizational risks through sound HR practices.
Change Management
- Lead organizational change initiatives during growth and transformation.
- Support restructuring, mergers, or expansion projects when required.
- Drive effective communication throughout change processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- MBA/Postgraduate qualification in HR is preferred.
- 8–10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 4–5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience working in high-growth, fast-paced organizations or startups is highly desirable.
