About the role:

V2 Digital is seeking a Designer (UI/UX) Contractor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a profile that is more design and delivery-focused, ensuring the efficient execution of projects from concept to completion. They will work closely with the development team to conceptualise, design, and deliver user interfaces and experiences that align with clients' brands and meet their expectations. 

What your day will look like:

• Develop and deliver design concepts and wireframes that meet the clients' needs, align with their business goals, and provide a cohesive user experience.
• Translate user requirements, business objectives, and creative direction into high-quality design deliverables.
• Create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces for digital platforms including web and mobile apps.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to ensure designs meet client requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs are technically feasible and adhere to brand guidelines.
• Build and contribute to component libraries, enhancing design systems.
• Document design decisions and maintain design guidelines.

What's required of you:

• Experienced in building component libraries, understanding component design principles, and contributing to design systems.
• Strong UI/UX experience prioritising speed over pixel perfection within realistic constraints.
• End-to-end delivery of design tasks from conception to implementation.
• Strong prototyping and interaction design skills (primarily using Figma, experience with SaaS preferred).
• Experience developing and implementing brand and style guidelines.
• Experience collaborating with developers to establish a design/dev framework that’s fit-for-purpose and scalable.
• Process-oriented with experience establishing and documenting design decisions and processes.
