About the role
The Behavioral Technician (BT) Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, screening, and scheduling qualified Behavioral Technician candidates to support Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy services. This role is a high-volume, pipeline-focused recruiting function designed to ensure consistent staffing levels across all service areas.
This position requires a proactive recruiter who can manage multiple candidate pipelines simultaneously, maintain accurate records in Zoho, and meet weekly hiring targets without compromising candidate quality or compliance standards.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Sourcing & Recruitment
- Actively source Behavioral Technician and on-call Behavioral Technician candidates through job boards, social media platforms, community networks, and referral pipelines
- Post and maintain BT job listings across all active recruiting channels
- Conduct initial phone screens to assess candidate eligibility, availability, and interest
- Evaluate candidates against minimum qualifications, including RBT certification status, availability, and location coverage
- Maintain a consistent and sufficient candidate flow to meet or exceed the weekly hire target
Orientation Scheduling
- Schedule all qualified candidates for new hire orientation/training on time
- Confirm orientation/training attendance and send candidates all required pre-orientation instructions and documentation
- Coordinate orientation/training logistics with the HR Director and operations team
- Follow up with candidates who do not attend orientation/training and reschedule or remove from the pipeline as appropriate
Zoho Administration
- Enter all candidate information into Zoho on the same business day as the initial contact
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate profiles, including contact information, screening notes, status, and disposition
- Track candidate pipeline stages from initial contact through orientation/training completion
- Ensure data integrity across all Zoho records; no incomplete or missing candidate entries
Reporting & Communication
- Submit a weekly pipeline report to the HR Director detailing candidates sourced, screened, scheduled, and hired
- Communicate pipeline gaps, sourcing challenges, or scheduling barriers to the HR Director proactively
- Maintain consistent, professional communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process
- Collaborate with the Intake and Coordination teams to align recruitment activity with operational staffing needs
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field preferred
- Minimum 1 year of recruiting, staffing, or talent acquisition experience required
- Experience in high-volume recruiting strongly preferred
- Prior experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or ABA settings is a plus
- Demonstrated experience using an ATS (Zoho experience preferred)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple pipelines simultaneously
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and consistently meet weekly targets
- Proficiency with recruiting platforms (Indeed, LinkedIn, ZipRecruiter, etc.)
- High attention to detail and data entry accuracy
- Self-directed and results-oriented with minimal supervision required
Minimum Technical and Work Environment Requirements:
- Internet Connection:
- Primary internet connection with a minimum speed of 15 Mbps.
- Backup internet connection with at least 10 Mbps.
- Backup connection must be capable of supporting work during a power outage.
- Primary Device:
- Desktop or laptop equipped with at least:
- Intel Core i5 (8th generation or newer), Intel Core i3 (10th generation or newer), AMD Ryzen 5, or an equivalent processor.
- A minimum of 8 GB RAM.
- Backup Device:
- Must meet or exceed the performance of an Intel Core i3 processor.
- Must be functional during power interruptions.
- Peripherals and Workspace:
- A functioning webcam.
- A noise-canceling USB headset.
