What’s the opportunity?
The Regional Accounting Lead is in charge of all related accounting matters that happens in a region, including the creation of internal and external reporting for key stakeholders and interested parties.
What will you be doing?
Lead a team of Regional Accountants to ensure excellent, material error-free monthly closes with consistent and timely execution of SOX controls
Reviewing reconciliations, account analysis, and SOX controls (both design and execution)
Analyze and optimize business processes
Review and lead efforts around Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Cash, and Expense
Assist with budget definition and tracking for the region
Completing monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packages, as required
Main point of contact for external auditor facilitation
Provide supporting documentation for Tax team
Providing recommendations to leadership team, using polished and thorough analyses
Accounting registrations
Typical accountabilities:
Provide all requisite inputs to outsourced advisors to support the preparation of the P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash reconciliations.
Control, review and approve of accounting details and information.
Collaborate and liaise with other departments, as needed (Treasury, Tax, Business Assurance, Operations, etc).
Create/review variance analysis, with clear and detailed explanations.
Assist with consolidation procedures, as required
Respond to inquiries from internal or external stakeholders
Assist with global and statutory audit processes.
Review reconciliations, as required.
Review design and ensure timely execution of SOX controls
What skills do you need?
Bachelor of Accounting, Business Administration, or similar field.
+5 years experience in Accounting, working with consolidations, subsidiaries, and international offices.
Demonstration of progressive accounting experience
Experience with SAP.
CPA or Chartered Accountant is a plus
Strong experience in Local GAAPs and Regulatory laws.
Ability to quickly prioritize in a constantly evolving environment.
Fluent English.
