The Fulfillment & Operations Associate is responsible for supporting all store fulfillment and inventory operations, ensuring a seamless customer experience across both in-store and online channels. This role oversees Ship-from-Store (SFS) and online order fulfillment while also managing merchandise receiving, shipment processing, stockroom organization, transfers, stock liquidation, and online returns. The position serves as a key operational resource within the store and partners closely with Retail, eCommerce, and Corporate teams to maintain inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and service standards.
Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Store Fulfillment
- Process and fulfill Ship-from-Store (SFS) and online orders accurately and within required service levels.
- Prioritize time-sensitive orders and manage daily fulfillment workflows to meet shipping deadlines.
- Prepare, inspect, and package merchandise according to brand standards.
- Investigate and resolve fulfillment issues, including inventory discrepancies, order exceptions, and carrier-related concerns.
- Manage online returns and ensure timely processing and disposition of merchandise.
Inventory & Stock Operations
- Receive and process incoming merchandise shipments.
- Execute stock transfers and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Organize and maintain stockrooms to support operational efficiency and inventory accuracy.
- Support stock liquidation activities and seasonal inventory initiatives.
- Conduct routine inventory audits and assist with discrepancy resolution.
Operational Excellence
- Monitor fulfillment performance, order accuracy, and overall operational efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, streamline workflows, and enhance the customer experience.
- Support implementation of omnichannel initiatives and operational best practices.
- Partner with Retail, eCommerce, and Corporate teams to ensure effective communication and execution of business priorities.
Regional Support
- Provide operational support to nearby locations as needed during peak business periods, staffing shortages, or elevated order volumes.
- For the Square One-based position, travel to Toronto Premium Outlets to support online flash sale events occurring approximately 2–3 times per year.
Principal Skills, Knowledge & Abilities Required
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- 1–3 years of retail operations, stock, inventory, fulfillment, or omnichannel experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and customer service.
- Comfortable handling inventory, shipments, stockroom operations, and fulfillment tasks.
- Proficiency with retail systems and Microsoft Office applications preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move merchandise.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform stockroom duties for extended periods.
- Flexibility to travel locally between stores as required.
