Position Overview:
The Personal Care Aide (PCA) provides hands-on, non-medical assistance to clients in their homes, supporting daily personal care needs and promoting safety, independence, and dignity. This role is essential for delivering direct care services under the Queen
Anne’s County In-Home Care Program.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene.
- Support activities of daily living (ADLs) such as mobility, toileting, and transfers .
- Provide meal preparation and feeding assistance.
- Offer medication reminders (non-clinical).
- Perform light housekeeping tasks (laundry, cleaning, organization).
- Monitor client condition and report changes to supervisor.
- Maintain accurate documentation and care logs.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Education: Home Health Aide (HHA) certification or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred/stronger.
- Licensure: CPR/First Aid certification required.
- Training in:
- ADLs (bathing, grooming, mobility)
- Infection control
- Patient safety
- Soft Skills: Compassionate and patient-centered approach; ability to monitor client condition and report changes to supervisor; reliable, dependable, and professional conduct.
- Critical Information: The contract centers on in-home care delivery (both medical and non-medical), which includes:
- Personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing)
- Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Meal preparation and feeding assistance
- Light housekeeping
- Medication reminders
- Companionship
- Transportation (if applicable)
