Position Overview:
The Caregiver / Companion provides supportive, non-medical care focused on companionship, supervision, and light assistance to clients in their homes. This role enhances quality of life by reducing isolation and helping clients remain comfortably and safely at home.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide companionship and emotional support through conversation and engagement
- Assist with meal preparation and light household tasks
- Offer reminders (appointments, medication schedules, daily routines)
- Accompany clients to appointments or errands (if required)
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment
- Observe and report any concerns or changes in client condition

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Licensure: CPR/First Aid certification required. Background check clearance required.
- Experience: Prior caregiving, customer service, or companion care experience preferred. Home Health Aide (HHA) preferred. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred. Medication Assistance Training (non-clinical level) preferred.
- Technical Skills: Ability to assist with meal preparation and light household tasks; offer reminders (appointments, medication schedules, daily routines); accompany clients to appointments or errands (if required); maintain a safe and supportive home environment.
- Critical Information: The contract centers on in-home care delivery (both medical and non-medical), which includes:
- Personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing)
- Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Meal preparation and feeding assistance
- Light housekeeping
- Medication reminders
- Companionship
- Transportation (if applicable)
