Join us as a Fraud Agent - Italian Market and be part of the frontline protecting Qonto's Italian customers from financial crime. You'll investigate fraud alerts and coordinate with multiple teams to stop threats before they escalate, working alongside Andrea Camoletto, our Fraud Team Lead Italy.
➡️ What you'll do
- Detect and investigate fraud cases: Analyze fraud alerts, review account behavior, and examine ID documentation to identify suspicious patterns before they cause damage.
- Handle transfer treatment: Review and action flagged transactions, applying sharp judgment on every case to protect customers without slowing them down.
- Be the fraud point of contact across teams: Respond to requests from other Operations teams to help them navigate complex fraud cases in real time.
- Manage external bank relationships: Communicate with partner banks and, when required, liaise directly with the Italian authorities.
- Escalate with precision: Identify cases that require Anti-Financial Crime expertise and hand them off with clear, well-documented context.
➡️ What we're looking for
- Italian fluency: You'll communicate externally with partner banks and police authorities in Italian, fluency in writing and speaking is a hard requirement (at least C1 level).
- English fluency : Internal communication at Qonto is done in English (at least C1 level is expected).
- You've worked in fraud or KYC: Whether at a fintech or a traditional bank, you've spent at least 6 months investigating suspicious activity and know what good analysis looks like.
- You are proactive and share what you know: You flag problems early and proactively share best practices with your team.
- You bring AI into your workflow: You're curious about AI tools and actively look for ways to use them to work faster and smarter.

You'll report to Andrea Camoletto, Fraud Team Lead Italy at Qonto. Andrea joined Qonto 5 years ago as a Customer Success Specialist and built their expertise from the ground up, moving through AML Compliance and Senior Fraud Analyst before stepping into the team lead role. He's known for delivering hands-on mentorship and structured feedback, and they'll give you real room to grow.
