We at Coforge are hiring Backend Dev JR - Python Engineer with the following skill set.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Python to support portal features and integrations.
• Implement business logic for organization management, user provisioning support, entitlement handling, and access-controlled catalog exposure.
• Build integrations between the enterprise design data and IP management platform for catalog synchronization, asset references, and related metadata flows.
• Support secure download workflows, authentication and authorization, audit logging, notifications, and issue tracking integrations with external systems such as Jira.
• Write maintainable, testable, and well-documented code following backend engineering standards and API design best practices.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers, DevSecOps, QA, and senior engineers to deliver end-to-end functionality.
• Participate in debugging, code reviews, technical discussions, and performance or reliability improvements.
• Contribute to documentation, test coverage, and continuous improvement of backend development processes. 

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python and solid experience building backend services and APIs.
• Experience with Django and/or similar Python web frameworks.
• Good understanding of REST API design, authentication-aware integrations, and backend application architecture.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases and backend data modeling concepts.
• Familiarity with testing, debugging, version control, and modern software development workflows.
• Understanding of secure backend development practices, maintainable code design, and scalable service implementation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering disciplines. 

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Celery, Redis, asynchronous processing, or background job orchestration.
• Familiarity with multi-tenant application design, entitlement models, and externally facing service patterns.
• Experience integrating with third-party enterprise systems such as Jira or identity providers.
• Knowledge of containerized deployment environments and CI/CD practices.
• Familiarity with audit logging, notifications, secure file distribution patterns, or compliance-oriented backend features.
