As a Travel Consultant, you'll receive comprehensive training through Auto Club University to develop your travel sales, customer service, and business development skills. You'll learn how to build a loyal client base, create customized travel experiences, and grow a rewarding career in the travel industry.

Position Summary

This is a sales-focused role where you'll help clients plan and book travel while building long-term relationships and growing your business through referrals, networking, and exceptional service.

Success in this role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, a customer-first mindset, and a passion for delivering outstanding travel experiences.

What You'll Do

• Consult with clients to plan and book domestic and international travel, including cruises, tours, vacation packages, hotels, airfare, car rentals, and travel insurance.
• Create personalized travel experiences tailored to clients' preferences, budgets, and goals.
• Build long-term client relationships through exceptional service, travel expertise, and ongoing support.
• Grow your client base through referrals, networking, community involvement, and business development activities.
• Stay informed on travel destinations, industry trends, and supplier promotions while meeting sales and service goals.

Training & Development

AAA provides comprehensive training in:

• Travel products, destinations, and itinerary planning
• Consultative sales and client relationship management
• Prospecting, lead generation, and business development
• Travel systems, technology, and service excellence

Occasional travel may be required for training and educational opportunities.

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based applications
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
• Ability to pass applicable pre-employment screenings

Preferred

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree
• Sales, business development, customer service, hospitality, retail, or relationship-based experience
• Demonstrated success achieving goals and building customer relationships
• Experience using CRM systems, networking, prospecting, or lead generation tools
• Passion for travel and interest in helping clients create memorable experiences

Work Environment

This is an on-site, sales-driven position focused on travel consulting, relationship management, and business development. Successful consultants actively grow their client base through networking, referrals, and community involvement. Availability to work most Saturdays and occasional evenings may be required.

Our Travel Consultants start with an hourly rate of $23.50.  After completion of our training program, Travel Consultants successfully meeting sales goals earn on average between $58,500 - $71,600 with the opportunity of uncapped incentives.
