micro1 is engaging Technical Writers to contribute expertise on a customer project focused on advanced AI system development. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters. This opportunity is ideal for those who excel at nuanced written and verbal communication and have a keen sense for clarity, tone, and instructional value. You will participate in a Write-like-Human Eval, where you compare model-generated responses to writing prompts, offering analytical quality scores and detailed rationales via the Feather platform.
Scope of Work
- Evaluate and compare multiple AI-generated responses to specific writing prompts, focusing on clarity, tone, helpfulness, and adherence to instructions.
- Provide comprehensive rationales and scoring using the Feather platform, justifying assessments with clear, concise feedback.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the overall quality and instructional value of language model outputs.
- Apply expert judgment to assess subtle differences in writing quality and effectiveness.
- Maintain meticulous attention to detail when reviewing content and documenting findings.
- Collaborate asynchronously with project managers and reviewers to ensure consistency and completeness of deliverables.
- Contribute to the project by leveraging your advanced command of written English and critical analysis skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Native-level English fluency and exceptional written communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in technical writing, editing, or content evaluation.
- Strong ability to judge clarity, tone, coherence, and usefulness in technical and instructional content.
- Familiarity with digital platforms for content review, annotation, or evaluation.
- Excellent attention to detail and thoroughness in analysis and documentation.
- Proven capacity to work independently, manage deadlines, and communicate effectively in virtual settings.
- Experience with AI systems or model evaluation practices considered a plus, but not required.
