Working at Mobi
We believe the best ideas emerge when diverse perspectives come together, so we’re building a team that truly reflects that belief. If you’re energized by complex challenges, inspired by working alongside thoughtful teammates, and passionate about building technology that enhances—rather than replaces—what makes us human, you’ll feel right at home here.
Our work is centered on five core values:
- Show up, be you. We welcome every kind of thinker, maker, and teammate: quiet or bold, methodical or messy, with all their talents and quirks. Inclusion isn’t a checkbox—it’s how we connect, grow together, and do our best work.
- Be scrappy, stay steady. We’re resilient and quick on our feet, adapting with creativity and staying grounded when things shift.
- Create transparency, collaborate better. We believe knowledge grows when it’s shared. Clear, open communication builds trust and strengthens collaboration.
- Foster community, be compassionate. We show up for our teammates, customers, and neighbors. Strong businesses grow from relationships built with care and grounded in shared effort.
- Build thoughtfully, create impact. We design for clarity, build for scale, and measure success through real-world impact.
The Mobi Product Management team plays a critical role in driving the success of our AI-powered products by working closely with Mobi engineering teams and aligning closely with our customers. Each Product Manager owns and supports a specific product and deployed customer solutions, collaborating across all aspects of product management—from strategy to execution.
As a Staff Product Manager at Mobi, you’ll join a highly creative, fast-paced, and fearless team tasked with driving the design, development, and growth of our AI Discoverability product. You will collaborate closely with engineering, design, and business teams to deliver highly technical AI-powered solutions that meet user needs and business objectives. Equally important, you'll be the relationship the customer trusts — someone who takes the time to understand what they really need, keeps communication open and honest, and gives them confidence that we're the right partner for the work ahead.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Vision and Strategy
- Establish technical goals and a clear development vision for Mobi’s MCP App product.
- Analyze user needs, business objectives, and product features to develop a comprehensive and prioritized feature roadmap.
- Take customer insights and build functional proof-of-concepts using AI tools (Claude, Cursor, etc.) in hours or days.
- Product Development and Execution
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to guide the end-to-end development process, ensuring seamless execution and alignment across teams.
- Create detailed product requirements and technical specifications, synthesizing input from customers and engineering leaders to ensure clarity and development velocity.
- Keep up with the fast-moving AI landscape, developing repeatable processes and documenting best practices to be shared amongst the team.
- Customer Relationship & Engagement
- Build genuine, trust-based relationships with customers; taking the time to understand not just what they're asking for, but the underlying problem, context, and goals behind it.
- Open and maintain communication channels where customers feel comfortable sharing honest feedback, concerns, and priorities, acting as their advocate inside Mobi.
- Partner with external customers to ensure Mobi’s product roadmap aligns with their needs.
- Leadership and Collaboration
- Drive the product lifecycle from ideation to launch, ensuring that product initiatives are executed on time and align with Mobi’s overall business goals.
- Present well-crafted and compelling product messaging to Mobi business leaders and external customers.
- Synthesize what you're hearing and building into a coherent point of view on what the company should productize. Collaborate with engineering on the handoff from prototype to real product.
What We’re Looking For:
- 8+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager, Forward Deployed Product Manager or similar role, with a track record of shipping B2B2C products — with prior roles in early-stage or 0-to-1 environments.
- Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience; a master's degree is preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of technical limitations, trade-offs, and system complexities to guide decision-making and collaborate effectively with engineering teams- enough engineering fluency to ask the right questions, challenge assumptions, and recognize when a “small change” isn’t.
- Strong proficiency with modern AI development tools and the ability to build working demos independently, without reliance on a full engineering team.
- The ability to craft and articulate a clear product vision paired with a strategic roadmap, driving products into new domains or industries while aligning with overall company goals.
- Exceptional skills in leveraging data and user insights to inform decisions, define product requirements, and prioritize features for maximum impact.
- Experience navigating complex industries that require deep domain expertise with the ability to understand customer needs, market trends, and technical landscapes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams and levels of management, both internally and externally.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and drive consensus in ambiguous, fast-paced environments with minimal direction.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 20%, including customer site visits.
