A Day in the Life
The Recruiter is an integral part of the People Ops team, developing a unique, impeccable strategy to fill positions in a variety of locations across North America. A typical day will kick off with replying to emails and messages from candidates and hiring managers. You will attend a daily team standup in the morning, then it’s down to the business of full-cycle recruiting, from sourcing through the candidate’s first week. Your day will be filled with conducting first-round phone screens, coordinating interviews, meeting with hiring managers to discuss their job openings, answering candidate questions, and helping to maintain clean and up-to-date recruitment data. You will support hiring for all departments across WatchGuard. You will also cycle with the other members of the People Operations team to conduct the New Hire Orientations as well as 30 day/60 day/6 month check-ins with recent new hires. In the time left over, you can work on longer-term projects such as improving existing processes and developing new ones, working on Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, and learning how to provide back up to the Human Resources team.
