Why we're hiring:
The Senior Manager –Treasury Center of Excellence (COE) will be responsible for leading and strategically directing the global Treasury operations, with a core focus on Bank Reconciliations, Bank Account Management (Admin), Cash & Liquidity Management, and Treasury Controls.
This role requires a seasoned leader to drive best-in-class operations, lead system automation (Auto-Reconciliations, TMS, ERP integration), optimize banking relationships, and ensure rigorous compliance and SOX controls across multiple operating companies (OpCos) and geographies.
What you'll be doing:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Leadership & Treasury COE Management
- Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing Treasury COE team, overseeing end-to-end Bank Reconciliations, Bank Administration, and Treasury operations.
- Formulate and execute the strategic roadmap for the Treasury COE to enhance operational efficiency, scalability, and control mechanisms.
- Act as the strategic liaison between Local Finance teams, OpCo Controllers, Group Treasury, and external Banking Partners.
- Standardize, mandate, and continuously update global Treasury & Bank Reconciliation Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Bank Reconciliations & Cash Application Governance
- Drive end-to-end governance of daily, weekly, and monthly Bank Reconciliations across global bank accounts, ensuring zero un-reconciled aged items.
- Implement robust match-rule logic and automated workflows to achieve high straight-through processing (STP) rates for automated reconciliations.
- Oversee open-item management, dispute resolution, and cross-functional coordination with RTR, OTC, and P2P teams to clear reconciliation breaks promptly.
- Present monthly Treasury & Reconciliation Dashboards, KPIs, and risk metrics to Senior Management.
- Bank Administration & Relationship Management
- Oversee global Bank Account Lifecycle Management—including account opening, closing, KYC/AML compliance, mandate management, and authorized signatory updates.
- Manage corporate bank fee structures, analyze bank charges, and optimize banking costs through negotiations and rationalize redundant bank accounts.
- Govern electronic banking platforms, managing user access rights, SOD (Segregation of Duties) matrix, and security protocols across all banking portals.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for banking operational issues, portal access management, and SWIFT/host-to-host connectivity.
- Cash Planning, Liquidity & FX Management
- Direct short-term and long-term Cash Flow Forecasting, daily cash positioning, and liquidity optimization (pooling/sweeping arrangements).
- Ensure strict adherence to Group Credit, Investment, and Capital Allocation policies.
- Support working capital optimization strategies and mitigate foreign exchange (FX) operational risks.
- Process Transformation, IT & Automation
- Champion digitalization initiatives within the Treasury COE, leveraging modern Treasury Management Systems (TMS), ERPs (SAP/Oracle), SWIFT messaging, and AI/RPA-driven auto-reconciliation tools.
- Drive change management initiatives aimed at achieving process standardization, enhanced controls, and headcount/cost productivity.
- Partner with Internal IT and ERP specialists to drive continuous system enhancements, host-to-host (H2H) interface setups, and automated bank statement (MT940/CAMT) processing.
- Audit, Governance & Compliance
- Serve as the primary contact for Statutory Auditors, SOX/Internal Auditors, and Global Compliance teams concerning Treasury and Bank Operations.
- Enforce a bulletproof SOX control framework across all Bank Reconciliations and Bank Administration workflows.
- Ensure timely and effective closure of audit observations with robust corrective and preventive action (CAPA) plans.
What you'll need:
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Experienced Graduate/post graduate or MBA in Finance from a top-tier institute. Treasury certifications (e.g., CTP, AMCT) are a strong plus.
- Experience: 12 to 15 years of post-qualification experience with a major emphasis on Treasury Operations, Bank Reconciliations, and Bank Account Administration within a Global Shared Services (GSSC/GCC) or complex multi-national environment.
- Team Leadership: Proven track record of managing medium-to-large teams (15+ team members) and managing global stakeholders across time zones.
Technical & Functional Expertise
- Deep expertise in Bank Reconciliation workflows, complex cash clearing, and sub-ledger matching.
- In-depth understanding of Bank Administration procedures, global banking rails (ACH, SWIFT, Finastra), and Bank Portals.
- Hands-on experience in reconciliation modules (ADRA) and dedicated TMS / Reconciliation tools.
- Strong understanding of internal controls, Segregation of Duties (SOD), and SOX framework within financial operations.
