À propos de ce poste Senior Leathergoods Designer chez Polène Paris
In a context of transformation, Polène is currently looking for Leather Goods Designers to join its Studio and contribute to the creation and development of the Maison’s leather goods collections, from creative research through to prototype follow-up with our workshops.
You will thrive in this role if you want to:
Conduct creative and visual research based on briefs and build moodboards to inspire the creation of new designs and the evolution of existing lines.
Translate concepts into sketches, technical drawings, simulations and mock-ups, exploring the volumes, proportions and details of each design.
Create mock-ups at different stages of development to test and refine shapes and constructions.
Develop technical specifications and correction sheets for the workshops and support the various prototype iterations.
Oversee the technical development of projects in close collaboration with the Collection and Sourcing teams and our workshops in France and Spain.
Participate in Design reviews and meetings, present project progress and contribute to collective creative discussions.
Stay constantly up to date on trends, materials, craftsmanship and innovations to inspire the creative process and contribute to the evolution of Polène’s identity.
You will excel in this role if:
You have at least 5 years of experience in bag design, ideally within a luxury or high-end Maison, with excellent knowledge of leather goods construction, leather and metal hardware.
You are proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) as well as hand sketching.
You have a strong understanding of leather goods construction and manufacturing techniques and are comfortable working with technical teams and workshops.
You have a strong interest in hands-on work and prototyping. Experience creating mock-ups in salpa and/or microfiber is a plus.
You are creative, autonomous, rigorous and highly organized, with a strong ability to adapt and prioritize.
You have a creative sensibility aligned with Polène’s DNA and a strong appreciation for materials, volumes and details.
You enjoy working collaboratively, have excellent interpersonal skills and are motivated by contributing to a collective creative dynamic.
Within the Studio, you will join the Design team, made up of around a dozen designers responsible for the creation and development of the Maison’s collections. You will work closely with the Collection and Sourcing teams, as well as our workshops and partners in France and Spain.
The team operates in an environment where creativity, craftsmanship and technical excellence come together every day. You will contribute directly to shaping the identity of Polène’s collections, from the first creative ideas through to their translation into finished products.
