Senior Community Manager

ABOUT EXPERIENCE BY INDUSTRIOUS

Experience by Industrious is a workplace hospitality brand launched by CBRE — built on the idea that where you work should actually feel like somewhere worth showing up to. We combine CBRE's real estate scale with Industrious' operating model to run dedicated experience teams across office assets, enterprise headquarters, healthcare facilities, and logistics centers worldwide.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You're the reason tenants feel like they belong to something. Not just a building, but a community — one with its own energy, its own rituals, and a sense that someone actually cares about how their days go.

As a Senior Community Manager, you design and oversee the full tenant programming experience: from the annual event calendar to day-of execution, from building communications to the tenant app. You lead the team that brings it all to life, and you're accountable for the engagement numbers that show it's working.

This role requires the creativity to design programs people actually want to attend, the operational discipline to run them well, and the relationship skills to make tenants feel personally connected to the building. The programming is the vehicle. The feeling is the product.

At buildings where this role works well, tenants renew leases partly because of what you've built. That's the bar.

WINNING IN THIS ROLE MEANS

• Tenants show up. Event attendance is strong, app engagement is growing, and the building has a reputation for actually doing things worth coming to.

• Tenant relationships feel personal. People know your name, tell you things, and trust that you'll follow through.

• Building communications are consistent, on-brand, and actually read. The app, signage, and newsletter work together as one voice.

• NPS and tenant satisfaction scores are trending upward, and you can trace them back to specific programs and decisions.

YOU'LL LOVE THIS ROLE AND SUCCEED AT IT IF

• You get energy from making people feel seen and connected. It's not just about organizing events. It's about noticing who's new, who needs an introduction, who's been having a rough week — and doing something about it.

• You're equally comfortable with strategy and execution. You can think through a quarterly programming calendar and then personally staff a Thursday afternoon activation. Both feel important to you.

• You understand that community doesn't happen by accident. You've built programs that worked and ones that didn't, and you learned from both. You have a framework for what drives engagement and why.

• You lead through relationships, not authority. Your direct reports work hard because they want to, not because you've told them to. You invest in people and it shows.

• You're genuinely curious about your tenants. You know what companies are in your building, what they're working on, what they care about. That knowledge makes your programming better and your relationships stickier.

NOT THE RIGHT FIT IF

• You'd rather stay behind the scenes than be the face of a program. This role requires daily visibility and genuine warmth in person.

• You find the detail work (signage, supply checks, survey follow-up) more frustrating than fulfilling.

• Predictable routines appeal to you more than dynamic, fast-moving days.

• People management (coaching, feedback, performance conversations) feels like a distraction from your real work. Here, it is part of your real work.

• You don't see community programming as central to building value. Here, it's one of the primary drivers of tenant retention.

WHAT YOU OWN

Community programming and building communications:

• Design and execute a dynamic calendar of tenant events focused on values that build community and engagement.

• Manage all aspects of community events including budgeting, vendor management, onsite execution, and reporting.

• Manage event marketing including updating the tenant app, digital and physical signage, and the building newsletter.

• Own the tenant experience app: content creation, audience management, timely building notices, adoption strategy, and negotiating local perks and partnerships.

Amenity management:

• Oversee ordering, restocking, receiving, and inventory of amenity supplies.

• Keep all amenity spaces spotless at all times.

• Document and escalate maintenance and facilities issues through proper channels.

• Maintain clean, organized supply closets.

• Support leasing teams in showcasing building amenities.

Tenant relationships:

• Build strong bonds with occupiers so their days feel personalized and productive.

• Meet with tenant leads at least once a year.

• Build relationships proactively outside of common space interactions.

• Execute in-suite activations when appropriate.

• Own the tenant onboarding process so new occupants know what's available.

• Deliver on Surprise and Delight and monthly interaction standards.

• Deploy customer sentiment surveys and create action plans for any detractors.

Service culture:

• Champion Industrious service standards and hospitality principles.

• Model and deliver on any new hospitality standards.

• Communicate and resolve issues confidently, empathetically, and professionally.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

We hire for skills over pedigree, but the strongest candidates will have:

• Experience. 5–7 years in community programming, hospitality, or tenant engagement.

• Community programming or hospitality experience. You've designed and delivered tenant or community programs at scale. You know what drives engagement and what doesn't.

• People leadership. You've managed at least one direct report: set goals, given feedback, and helped someone grow in their role.

• Communications fluency. You write clearly and on-brand. You've managed a content calendar, a newsletter, or a social/app presence in a professional context.

• Organizational discipline. You manage multiple programs simultaneously and don't let details fall through the cracks under pressure.

• Tenant relationship skills. You build trust quickly, follow through consistently, and know how to make people feel genuinely cared for.

COMPENSATION

The base salary range for this role is $105,000 – $115,000, depending on experience.

You'll also be eligible for a 10% annual performance bonus.
