We are looking for a Relationship Manager to join our Wealth & Retail team in Japan.
How you will add value?
Contribute to the mid- to long-term growth of the company and expansion of our AUM through activities to propose new investment strategies, which are mainly for individual retail & HNW investors, to distributors and domestic asset managers, and sales promotion activities to expand and maintain our AUM of existing funds.
The candidate will be responsible for the following business areas:
Sales of investment trusts to distributors
Sales of investment trusts to domestic asset management companies
What will help you be successful in this role?
Experience:
5+ years of experience in the financial service industry (asset management firm, securities firm, or bank)
3+ years of experience in a sales, marketing or product-related role in the financial service industry
Technical skills and knowledge:
Expertise in investment strategies and financial instruments including equities, fixed income and FX
Extensive knowledge of investment management business in Japan
Knowledge and experience in alternative investments such as hedge funds, private debt, private equity, real estate, etc. preferred
Competencies:
Understands the importance of the asset management industry, and takes pride in working in this industry; and strongly agrees to Franklin Templeton’s mission & business strategy
Self-starter who is result-oriented and self-motivated
Ability to take a logical approach to problem solving, determine appropriate priorities, and lead to solutions
Enthusiastic and flexible attitude with experience working on a wide range of fields
Team player with strong interpersonal skills and a flexible and proactive approach to resolving conflicts and overcoming problems
Verbal and written communication skills in English preferred
PC Skills:
Power Point, Excel, Word: Ability to prepare internal materials & client presentations, data and reports
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (Economics, Business Administration, Law, Science, Engineering, or other business-related bachelor’s degrees preferred)
Master’s degrees preferred
CFA, CMA, CAIA preferred
