Job Description
Job Summary**
As a Production Technician 1 at Becton Dickinson Medical (S) Pte. Ltd., you will be responsible for operating and monitoring manufacturing equipment to produce high-quality medical devices, ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards.
Job Responsibilities**
* Operate and maintain production machinery and equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
* Perform in-process quality checks and inspections, documenting results accurately.
* Identify and troubleshoot basic equipment malfunctions, escalating complex issues to senior technicians or engineers.
* Prepare and set up materials and components for production runs.
* Complete production records, batch records, and other relevant documentation diligently.
* Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ISO standards, and company policies.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to a safe and efficient work environment.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
* Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Job Qualifications**
* Minimum GCE 'O' Level or NITEC in a relevant technical field (e.g., Precision Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology).
* 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably within the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
* Ability to read and understand technical drawings and instructions.
* Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
* Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
* Familiarity with GMP and quality control principles is a plus.
* Proficient in basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping.
* Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
* Strong commitment to safety and quality.
* Team player with good communication skills.
* Able to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as required.
