About the role
Thatch is building a healthcare system people actually love — and that starts with hiring the right people to run it. As our Operations Recruiter, you'll own hiring for the teams who keep that system running day to day. This is a role for someone who's equally comfortable filling a dozen support roles in a month and running a thoughtful search for an Ops director — and who sees high-volume hiring as a creative problem to solve, not just a numbers game. You'll be a true partner to Ops leaders, helping them think through staffing needs before a req is even open, and you'll help build the infrastructure (events, partnerships, pipelines) that lets us hire well at scale. As we grow, you'll also have real input into how the broader recruiting function evolves at Thatch.
What you'll do
- Own full-cycle recruiting across the Operations organization— spanning entry-level through senior leadership roles
- Flex to support recruiting for other functions across Thatch as business needs and hiring priorities evolve
- Partner with Operations leaders to define roles, calibrate on ideal candidate profiles, and deliver on hiring plans at every level of seniority
- Design and execute distinct recruiting strategies tailored to each level—from high-volume, high-velocity pipelines for entry-level and frontline support roles to targeted, relationship-driven searches for leadership positions
- Build creative, scalable sourcing strategies to fill high-volume roles, including hosting hiring events, partnering with universities and community/workforce organizations, and testing new channels to keep pipelines full
- Build and maintain robust pipelines of both passive and active candidates across the operations talent market
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle at scale, ensuring a seamless and positive candidate experience regardless of role level or volume
- Communicate clearly and promptly to keep candidates, hiring managers, and leadership aligned throughout the process
- Balance multiple high-priority searches and high-volume requisitions simultaneously while contributing to the growth of the recruiting function as Thatch scales
Background we're looking for
- 4+ years of experience in full lifecycle recruiting, with direct experience recruiting for operations, support, or similarly high-volume functions across a range of seniority levels
- Demonstrated ability to flex between high-volume entry-level hiring and leadership searches
- Proven track record of designing and executing creative sourcing strategies (hiring events, university partnerships, community partnerships, etc.) to fill high-volume roles quickly and consistently
- A history of successfully placing strong operations talent and building high-performing support/operations teams
- Data-driven approach, with the ability to provide both quantitative and qualitative insights to hiring managers and leadership—especially around pipeline health, time-to-fill, and volume metrics
Experience we’d be particularly excited about
- Experience building or scaling talent programs within startups
- A track record of partnering with operations leadership on org design or headcount planning tied to growth or operational goals
- Prior recruiting experience within healthcare, health tech, or insurance—understanding the talent landscape and how to evaluate domain-relevant candidates
- Background recruiting for member/customer support or carrier/partner operations roles specifically
- Skilled at designing and running hiring events, career fairs, or campus/community recruiting programs
- Highly adaptable, creative, and eager to learn new skills or domains, with a strong desire to leverage new tools and resources to drive better outcomes for Thatch
- Comfortable building diverse and inclusive candidate pipelines
- Familiarity with Greenhouse
