- Configure, monitor, and maintain the local network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, switches, routers, and firewalls) to guarantee seamless connectivity for the local site.
- Manage and maintain local physical and virtual servers, active directory, backup systems, and server room equipment (including UPS and cabling).
- Serve as the local escalation point for complex technical issues, troubleshooting network, hardware, and server-related problems for our local team.
- Manage relationships with local IT service providers, internet service providers (ISPs), and local hardware vendors. Keep track of local IT inventory and assets.
- Act as the local bridge to the global IT department, helping to implement global IT standards, security policies, and system updates locally.
- Other tasks and projects may be assigned as the role evolves to support ongoing business needs.
Your Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a relevant field.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in network administration and IT infrastructure management, specifically supporting sites or offices.
- Fluent in Arabic and professional working proficiency in English (to coordinate with regional/global IT teams).
- Strong practical experience setting up and troubleshooting local network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls).
- Good knowledge of Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and virtualization (VMware or Hyper-V).
- Strong familiarity with cloud-based collaboration tools (Microsoft 365, Teams).
- Strong sense of ownership and responsibility for local system uptime.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a helpful, service-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work independently as the main local IT contact.
- Ability to multi-task and carry out multiple responsibilities concurrently.
