DTC’s many software engineering teams build applications for the web, mobile, tablets, connected TVs, consoles, and other streaming devices. Every customer starts their wonderful journey into the world of WBD through DTC’s Identity and Growth teams. We ensure customers can seamlessly authenticate and authorize across all WBD brands.

We are a fast-growing, global engineering group crucial to WBD’s future. We are looking for an engineering manager who is passionate about solving complex engineering challenges coaching, leading, and mentoring a team of engineers. You and your team will lead numerous products in WBD to a modernized authentication and authorization experience.

We are setting up an India Development Center to better support our global streaming services and assist international teams. We are looking for an Engineering Manager who will help build and grow the India Identity and Growth teams and enable the global expansion of our services.

Roles, Responsibilities & Qualifications: 

As an Engineering Manager on the Partner Integrations team, you'll lead a high-performing group of engineers responsible for partner onboarding, authentication, and configuration management across WBD's streaming and TV Everywhere partner ecosystem. You'll build on the standardized platforms we've already established and extend that standardization to the workflows, while upholding the engineering and operational excellence practiced across WBD. You'll also attract, coach, and retain key talent, providing your team real opportunities for professional and career growth.

• Bachelor’s degree with 12 – 15 years of experience in the industry with at least 3-5 years leading and managing software development teams.
• Demonstrate strong technical depth in the systems you lead, enough to run design reviews and represent your team's technical decisions directly. Ideal to have a developer background with Golang (preferred) or Java.
• Build and manage a team of high-performing engineers, including structured growth paths and regular development conversations for every direct report; retain talent through challenging professional opportunities and career growth.
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders and partners, internally and externally, across platform, back-end, and client engineering, program management, and teams consuming your platform as a service, ensuring smooth integration into the WBD product delivery process.
• Build self-service tooling and operationalize workflows into guardrailed, self-serve systems for platform adoption of identity services, for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop standards, tooling, and automation for efficient, cost-effective workflows, and champion process and technological improvements across the platforms you own; identify manual, repetitive, or error-prone processes in your area and drive fixes proactively.
• Own full-cycle delivery for your team, from planning and risk through build, test, and release, with a rolling multi-sprint view of the roadmap built in partnership with TPMs and stakeholders, feeding new opportunities and enhancements into the shared roadmap.
• Surface assumptions, dependencies, and risk on every commitment before a date is set, and flag slippage early with a mitigation plan rather than after the fact.
• Mentor other software development engineers throughout the organization, building the next generation of leaders.
• Strong technical understanding of Kubernetes-based microservice architectures, messaging services, DB services, API gateways, service mesh, and infrastructure-as-code technologies/processes.
• Experience in authentication and authorization systems with a high bar for engineering and operational excellence.
• Experience in large volume transaction systems, data migration workflows, with a focus on quality, precision, and accuracy metrics.
• Experience building and operating global-scale large platform services in non-prod and prod environments.
• Experience establishing and improving data-driven infrastructure and service KPIs such as performance, scale, availability, reliability, security.
• A strong understanding of security best practices and a high bar for protecting customer data.
• Represent your team's work confidently in cross-functional and leadership forums, not only when your team is presenting.
• Effective communication skills, good balance of empathy, leading by example, player-coach as needed, influence and drive change.
• Build trust and followership through consistent, decisive judgment, holding your position under scrutiny while staying genuinely open to new information.
• Demonstrated experience with building systems using agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, or similar).
