We are looking for an experienced and highly creative Lead Architect with 10–14 years of professional experience to lead architectural design and space planning initiatives across a range of projects. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in space planning, architectural design, design development, and project coordination, with the ability to translate business and functional requirements into efficient, aesthetically compelling, and practical environments.

As a Lead Architect, you will be responsible for driving projects from initial concept through design development and execution support. You will work closely with clients, consultants, project managers, interior designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that design solutions meet functional, technical, regulatory, and commercial requirements.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Lead space planning and architectural design for commercial, residential, workplace, retail, hospitality, or mixed-use projects.
• Develop efficient space plans by analyzing user requirements, functional relationships, circulation, zoning, adjacencies, and utilization.
• Translate client briefs and business requirements into conceptual layouts, design strategies, and architectural solutions.
• Lead the preparation and review of architectural drawings, layouts, presentations, design documentation, and construction drawings.
• Evaluate existing spaces and develop optimized planning solutions based on area utilization, operational requirements, and design objectives.
• Establish planning standards, design principles, and spatial guidelines across projects.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, fire safety, landscape, interiors, and other consultants to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Review designs for compliance with applicable building codes, local regulations, accessibility requirements, and safety standards.
• Present concepts, space plans, and design proposals to clients and senior stakeholders, incorporating feedback into design development.
• Provide design leadership and mentorship to architects, designers, and junior team members.
• Conduct design reviews and ensure consistency, quality, accuracy, and adherence to project timelines.
• Support project teams during construction and execution by resolving design-related issues and clarifying architectural intent.
• Identify opportunities to improve space efficiency, functionality, user experience, sustainability, and overall project value.

Must-Have Skills

• 10–14 years of professional experience in architecture and architectural design.
• Strong and demonstrable expertise in Space Planning and spatial optimization.
• Excellent understanding of architectural planning, zoning, circulation, ergonomics, and functional adjacencies.
• Strong knowledge of architectural design principles, design development, and construction documentation.
• Ability to interpret complex requirements and convert them into practical and efficient space-planning solutions.
• Proficiency in architectural design and drafting tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar software.
• Strong understanding of building codes, planning regulations, accessibility standards, and construction practices.
• Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary consultants and project stakeholders.
• Strong design presentation, communication, and client-management skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects or workstreams while maintaining quality and deadlines.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with BIM-based workflows and digital design tools.
• Exposure to sustainable architecture and green building principles.
• Experience in workplace strategy, commercial interiors, retail, hospitality, or large-scale developments.
• Knowledge of visualization and rendering tools.
• Strong project management and team leadership capabilities.

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture (B.Arch/M.Arch) from a recognized institution.
• Relevant professional registration or certification will be an advantage.
