About the Role
Reporting to the Facilities team, you'll be responsible for delivering a broad range of preventative and reactive maintenance services across the property.
Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out general building repairs and maintenance across the property
Troubleshooting and assisting with repairs to building systems and equipment
Completing basic plumbing, HVAC, mechanical and electrical maintenance
Carrying out carpentry, painting, patching and general building works
Repairing and replacing ceiling tiles, door hardware and other building finishes
Inspecting buildings, equipment and surrounding areas to identify faults and maintenance requirements
Responding promptly to maintenance requests, breakdowns and emergency situations
Assisting with preventative maintenance and servicing of building equipment
Supporting the maintenance of fire and life safety systems as required
Using tools, technology and building management systems to complete maintenance tasks safely and efficiently
About You
We're looking for a practical, motivated professional who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.
To be successful, you will have:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
2+ years of relevant experience in a commercial property or facilities environment
Technical, vocational or on-the-job training in areas such as HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, painting or carpentry
Current Australian Driver's Licence and good driving record
Basic computer skills, including Outlook, Excel and Word
Good knowledge of tools and equipment used in facility maintenance
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
Strong communication and customer service skills
Flexibility to respond to emergency situations and work overtime, shifts or on-call duties when required
Physically able to carry out hands-on maintenance tasks and move around the property as required
Comfortable working with tools and equipment and responding to maintenance and emergency situations
