We are seeking an experienced E&I Project Supervisor to oversee, coordinate, and monitor Electrical, Instrumentation & Automation (EIA) activities related to optimization and modification projects across our production facilities in Gabon.

This role is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient execution of field activities while maintaining compliance with HSSE requirements, quality standards, project schedules, and budgets. The E&I Project Supervisor acts as a key field representative, providing technical support during project execution and ensuring effective coordination between Operations, Maintenance, HSE, Logistics, and Contractors

Responsibilities

  • Field Supervision: Supervise Electrical, Instrumentation & Systems activities on site, ensuring work is executed safely and in accordance with approved procedures and specifications.
  • Coordination & Interface Management: Coordinate activities with Operations, Maintenance, HSE, Logistics, and Contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Work Preparation & Risk Management: Prepare intervention work packs and actively participate in risk assessments, toolbox talks, and permit-to-work processes.
  • Execution & Quality Control: Monitor project progress, verify compliance with technical requirements, and ensure quality control of installations and modifications.
  • Technical Support: Provide field technical support for hook-up activities, tie-ins, commissioning, troubleshooting, and brownfield modifications within Oil & Gas production facilities.
  • Resource & Material Management: Verify the availability of materials, tools, equipment, and personnel required to execute planned activities.
  • Testing & Commissioning: Participate in inspections, testing, commissioning, and start-up activities to ensure operational readiness.
  • Reporting: Provide daily reports on progress, risks, constraints, and any operational challenges impacting project delivery.
  • HSSE Leadership: Promote and enforce Assala Energy HSSE standards, ensuring a strong safety culture and adherence to company policies.

Requirements

  • Technical qualification or degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Automation, or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience within the Oil & Gas industry, preferably in production and operational environments.
  • Proven experience supervising or coordinating Electrical and Instrumentation field activities.
  • Strong knowledge of Oil & Gas production facilities and Operations/Maintenance interfaces.
  • Experience with brownfield projects, hook-up activities, tie-ins, commissioning, and start-up operations is highly desirable.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, instrumentation diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Good understanding of permit-to-work systems, isolation procedures, risk assessments, and safe work practices.
  • Hands-on experience using testing, measurement, and control equipment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Fluent in French; technical English proficiency is highly desirable.
