A DAY IN LIFE

As a start up, you can expect your days to be pretty varied. Multitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities. That said, the bulk of your working hours should involve you having to:

• To complete customs entries in an accurate and timely manner, checking all relevant documents and delivering a service that meets TELEPORT standards.
• To submit customs declarations to RMCD using simplified, summary and standard procedures, ensuring strict compliance to current statutory procedures.
• To forward the customs release messages to the internal departments team and other representatives.
• To build relationships and rapport with new and existing customers and communicate effectively with authorities such as :
  • Internal & External of Teleport Commerce Teams
  • RMCD
  • Cargo Terminals
  • Key business partners
  • Suppliers/Transporters
  • Other business support agencies
  • MAHB
• To complete data administration and validation, scanning and filing supporting documents.
• To be the first response to all enquiries regarding Customs Declarations.
• Complete any other documentation that may become relevant over time.
• Create and maintain accurate, relevant, and up to date information relating to all interactions and business changes.
• To carry out other duties commensurate with the role and role grade as required and directed from time to time.
• Coordinates with Principal, Fleet Team, Operations Team and CS Team on the Shipments status.
• Provide support to staff and clients whenever required.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with the ALDEC Customs Declaration System is highly preferred.
• Experience using uCustoms, Dagang Net, or other customs declaration platforms.
• Knowledge of air freight, express courier, and e-commerce customs clearance processes.
• Experience handling regulated shipments and OGA-controlled cargo.
• Strong understanding of customs compliance and regulatory requirements.
