Job Description

Key Result Areas:

• Produces high-quality video and multimedia content for digital, social media, web, mobile, internal communication and marketing platforms.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to understand business requirements, interpret creative briefs and develop engaging visual content solutions.
• Develops creative concepts and visual storytelling approaches that align with marketing objectives and brand strategy.
• Plans, coordinates, and executes video shoots, including location scouting, scheduling, equipment management, directing contributors and managing production logistics.
• Captures professional-quality video, audio, interviews, events, brand content, leadership messages and customer stories.
• Performs video editing, colour correction, audio enhancement, motion graphics integration and post-production activities to create polished final outputs.
• Creates content that drives audience engagement, strengthens brand presence, supports customer acquisition and enhances customer retention.
• Advises stakeholders on video best practices, visual storytelling techniques, and platform-specific content approaches.
• Collaborates with graphic designers, digital teams, content specialists, developers and platform editors to deliver integrated marketing solutions.
• Ensures all content adheres to brand guidelines, governance standards, trademark requirements and regulatory requirements.
• Maintains quality standards and consistency across all visual content and digital channels.
• Optimises video content for multiple platforms including social media, websites, events, campaigns, email marketing and mobile applications.
• Supports the continuous improvement of video production processes, tools and technologies.
• Keeps abreast of emerging trends, technologies, production techniques and industry best practices in video production and digital content creation.
• Builds strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to successfully deliver marketing and communication objectives

Requirements: Skills, Qualifications and Experience required:

• Relevant bachelor’s degree, Diploma or National Diploma in:
• Film and Television Production
• Videograph
• Multimedia Design
• Digital Media
• Visual Communication
• Graphic Design
• Communication Design
• Media Studies
• Motion Graphics
• Marketing or a related creative discipline

Advantageous:

• Postgraduate qualification in Film Production, Digital Media, Communications, or a related field.
• Professional certifications in Adobe Creative Suite, Video Editing, Motion Graphics, Content Production or Digital Media.
• Drone Pilot Certification and/or advanced cinematography training will be advantageous.

Experience:

• 3-5 years' experience in videography, multimedia production, digital content creation or a related role.
• Experience producing video content across digital, social media, web, event and marketing platforms.
• Demonstrated experience managing the full video production lifecycle from concept to final delivery.
• Strong experience in filming, editing, post-production and content optimisation.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders to translate business requirements into compelling visual content.
• Experience supporting marketing campaigns, brand initiatives, employee engagement programmes and corporate communications.
• Experience within financial services, media, agency, marketing or corporate communication environments will be advantageous.
• Portfolio demonstrating creative storytelling, technical capability and high-quality production standards.

In this role, you will play a key part in shaping how Old Mutual engages with its audiences through impactful video and multimedia content across digital, social, mobile and internal communication platforms. You will be responsible for transforming concepts and briefs into engaging visual stories that strengthen brand awareness, enhance customer engagement and support business objectives.

Working closely with marketers, designers, content creators, agency partners and business stakeholders, you will create high-quality video content that captures the essence of our brand while driving meaningful audience engagement. From concept development and filming to editing, post-production and content optimisation, you will be responsible for delivering creative solutions that align with business priorities and brand standards.
