Job Role: Accounts Receivable / Accounts Assistant

Compensation range: $1,400 - $1,800 AUD/month

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Who The Client Is: This client is a performance-driven content distribution provider that helps brands enhance their visibility through partnerships with premium publishers. By leveraging CPC and CPM solutions, they ensure clients pay only for measurable outcomes, such as clicks or impressions.

They offer a customizable platform where businesses can set their budgets, timelines, and performance goals while accessing a diverse network of trusted publishers. Their approach empowers brands to effectively share their stories, build credibility, and achieve a strong return on investment.

Role Overview: We are looking for a highly organized and adaptable Accounts Receivable / Accounts Assistant to support the Chief Financial Officer and the finance department. This role is crucial in maintaining smooth operations within the finance team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, receipts, and financial transactions. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing customer accounts, reconciling statements, and tracking affiliate payments. Strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and strong record keeping are essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Assistant Support:

• Maintain accurate financial records
• Daily review of receivables
• Collections follow-up
• Support CFO with financial tasks
• Affiliate transaction tracking & recording
• Invoice creation
• Month-End & Year-End support
• Balance Sheet reconciliation
• Administrative support to finance team

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as an Accounts Receivable / Accounts Assistant
• Understanding of accounting and bookkeeping skills - ideally with a degree or diploma in accounting
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, Xero and Slack is mandatory.
• Experience with Stripe and exposure to affiliate platforms is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with different departments and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies, troubleshoot issues, and take corrective actions independently.
• Exceptional attention to detail to ensure all financial data is correctly entered, accounts are reconciled, and payments are processed accurately.

This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
