As a Accountant

You will provide support to the Danaos Shipping accounting department by administering daily accounting tasks.

As a part of your role, you will:

• Be part of a team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the company’s accounting processes
• Process invoices data entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
• Communicate with suppliers to confirm the balance
• Communicate with all departments to ensure the collection of invoices
• Assist on updating accounts payable and performing bank reconciliations
• Contribute to the overall efficient operation of the department and be fully aware of its processes
• Assist on expenses review and reporting

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have

• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
• Degree in accounting, finance, or relevant field
• Previous experience in Accounting Department of a shipping company
• Computer literacy. Familiarity with Danaos ERP will be considered an asset
• Excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
