Job Description:

Position Summary 

Crowe is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our growing Tax Transformation team as a Tax Transformation Associate. This individual will support the development of automation tools and data-focused solutions that enable our Tax business unit to work more efficiently and effectively. 

The ideal candidate will bring a solid foundation in data and programming, along with a familiarity with accounting. This is a solution builder role — well suited for someone who thrives on problem-solving, has strong organizational skills, and is eager to grow in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment. A strong willingness to learn and exceptional attention to detail are essential. 

Responsibilities 

• Assist in designing and building internal tools that streamline processes and improve efficiency across tax teams. 

• Develop solutions using Excel (advanced formulas, Power Query), APIs, and common programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, VBA). 

• Collaborate closely with Tax Transformation managers and other team members to support internal and client-related projects. 

• Maintain strong project management discipline — meeting timelines, managing deliverables, and following up on tasks and dependencies. 

• Participate in the creation, testing, documentation, and refinement of technology-enabled solutions. 

• Contribute to continuous improvement by offering feedback, learning new tools, and helping identify opportunities for optimization. 

• Ensure that all work meets high standards for accuracy, usability, scalability, and reliability. 

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Data Analytics, MIS, or a related field. 
• Minimum 1.5 years of experience is required.

• Exposure to programming concepts through coursework or experience (e.g., Python, VBA, JavaScript). 

• Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query and data transformation functions. 

• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders across multiple disciplines and levels. 

• Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills. 

• Excellent time management skills with strong organizational and administrative abilities. 

Preferred Skills & Attributes 

• Familiarity with data tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, or other visualization platforms. 

• Alteryx Designer Core or Designer Advanced Certification. 

• Excellent attention to detail and a demonstrated willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
