Sobre este puesto de Staff Product Designer en Posh
About Posh
We are all social creatures, but the dominant “social” companies today have evolved into digital loneliness machines, driving isolation, anxiety, and mental health challenges around the world.
Human connection is lost. Posh is a beacon guiding us back.
Posh enables anyone to build an IRL community based on shared interests, while connecting consumers with the communities of people just like them. Founded by event organizers who were frustrated with the growing loneliness epidemic and the tools available to build their own event brand, we’ve built the ultimate platform for launching, monetizing, and finding IRL communities of people just like you. In just 6 years, Posh has grown to a team of 70, expanded to 8M+ users, secured $70m in venture funding, and facilitated over $350M in transactions.
About the Role
We're looking for a Staff Product Designer to own an entire product domain and help define the future of Posh.
You'll own either the consumer or organizer side of our marketplace, working alongside our other Staff Product Designer to shape the experience across Posh. This is one of the highest-leverage IC roles on our product team: you'll partner directly with Product, Engineering, Research, Data, and company leadership to determine where your domain should go and turn that direction into exceptional products.
We're intentionally building a tiny, exceptionally strong design team. That means enormous scope, autonomy, and influence—and it also means staying deeply hands-on. We're looking for someone who can shape strategy, create clarity from ambiguity, and then open Figma and personally bring the experience to life at an exceptional level of craft.
This is an in-person position at our New York City office in SoHo.
What You'll Do
Own an entire product domain: Take responsibility for the quality, coherence, strategy, and evolution of either the consumer or organizer experience.
Shape where the product goes: Partner with Product and company leadership to identify opportunities, develop a point of view, and influence the roadmap for your domain.
Lead consequential zero-to-one work: Take ambitious, poorly defined opportunities from first principles through exploration, validation, design, launch, and iteration.
Operate as a product leader: Think beyond design to deeply understand our users, marketplace, business, data, and technology—and use that understanding to make the product better.
Set an exceptional craft bar: Stay deeply hands-on across interaction, systems, and visual design. Your work should help define what great product design looks like at Posh.
Create clarity and conviction: Navigate ambiguity, make strong judgments with incomplete information, and bring teams and leadership along through compelling thinking, storytelling, and design.
Elevate design at Posh: Alongside our other Staff Product Designer, shape the standards, systems, and product principles that allow a tiny design team to have outsized impact.
What We're Looking For
A portfolio demonstrating exceptional product thinking, strategy, interaction design, and visual craft.
A proven record of leading significant zero-to-one products from ambiguous starting points to meaningful outcomes.
Experience owning a substantial product area or domain and influencing its strategy, not just its execution.
Exceptional product judgment and the ability to identify opportunities that aren't obvious from a roadmap or requirements document.
The ability to operate with extremely high autonomy and create direction where little exists.
Exceptional systems thinking and visual and interaction design craft.
The ability to influence executives and senior cross-functional partners through the quality of your thinking, communication, and work.
A desire to remain deeply hands-on while operating at a strategic level.
We're less interested in years of experience than the scope, autonomy, judgment, and impact you've demonstrated. We're looking for someone who can own a domain, develop a strong point of view on where it should go, and make that future real.
