During this six-month internship, you’ll work closely with the SEO and content teams to research publishing opportunities, create external content, and support off-page SEO and link-building initiatives.
We’re looking for structured, curious learners who are interested in understanding how SEO, content, and authority building contribute to organic growth.
Key Responsibilities
Research & Opportunity Discovery
- Research third-party websites, blogs, publications, communities, and other platforms for relevant publishing opportunities.
- Evaluate websites based on relevance, content quality, audience fit, and basic SEO indicators.
- Research competitors to identify their mentions, backlinks, publishing opportunities, and external visibility.
- Conduct topic and audience research to identify relevant content opportunities.
Content Creation & Guest Posting
- Research and write original guest posts, articles, and supporting content for external publication.
- Adapt writing style, topic, structure, and depth based on the target publication and audience.
- Work with SEO and content teams to align content with link-building and off-page SEO objectives.
- Maintain records and track external content opportunities and submissions.
SEO & Optimization
- Develop a practical understanding of backlinks, anchor text, search intent, domain authority, referring domains, and off-page SEO.
- Understand how on-page content, external authority, and search intent contribute to organic visibility.
- Learn to evaluate and prioritize publishing opportunities using relevant SEO indicators and tools.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, Media, or a related field. Candidates from other backgrounds with strong research and writing skills are also encouraged to apply.
- Strong written English and ability to structure information clearly.
- Strong research skills, attention to detail, and a structured approach to research-heavy work.
- Willingness to learn SEO beyond simply following keyword checklists.
- Ability to work independently once objectives are defined and respond positively to feedback.
- Prior formal education in SEO is not required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior exposure to SEO, content marketing, link building, digital PR, or guest posting.
- Experience writing blogs, articles, essays, newsletters, or other long-form content.
- Familiarity with keywords, search intent, backlinks, anchor text, domain authority, or referring domains.
- Experience with Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, or similar SEO tools.
- Previous internships, freelance work, college projects, or personal projects related to SEO or content.
