At SimCorp, we support some of the largest financial institutions in the world to be successful by simplifying their investments, accounting and operations.
Accounting is a unit within SimCorp’s Product Division which delivers all rules and calculation methods in order to provide our clients with a legally binding subledger for all supported asset classes.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Develop and maintain features in Accounting product areas.
Contribute across the entire development lifecycle - from requirements analysis and design to implementation, test automation, documentation, and ongoing support.
Collaborate closely with your team, Product Managers, Architects, and peers across the area to deliver high-quality, secure and valuable solutions.
Innovate, uphold technical excellence and quality, advocate best practices, and continuously improve our ways of working.
Constantly learn and improve yourself, the team, and wider area.
Think beyond the code, understand our strategy, goals and customer needs to help enhance our products and maximize their impact.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Most importantly, you can see yourself contributing and thriving in the position described above. How you gained the skills needed for doing that is less important. We expect you to be good at several of the following and be able to - and interested in - learn the rest.
4-6 years of experience in software engineering.
Proficiency with .NET ecosystem (C#, .NET Core / .NET 6+, ASP.NET Core, Web APIs) in building scalable, enterprise-grade applications.
Solid understanding of web application architecture, including RESTful services, microservices / modular monolith patterns, and event-driven systems.
Experience building and operating solutions on Microsoft Azure.
Proficiency in cloud-native design principles, CI/CD pipelines, observability, resilience, and scalability.
Strong understanding of software engineering practices - API design, secure coding, performance optimization and distributed system design.
Familiarity with data storage technologies (SQL Server, NoSQL, caching strategies).
Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) is a plus.
Curiosity and willingness to learn in-house tools and frameworks, including the APL programming language.
Readiness to work in a complex accounting domain, dealing with financial and investment-related instruments.
