Sobre este puesto de Senior Product Designer (12 month - FTC) en Accurx

Accurx · Híbrido · London (Shoreditch)

💬 Accurx is solving healthcare productivity for the NHS.

For decades, the NHS has struggled with fragmented systems that make simple tasks feel impossible. At Accurx, we’re changing that by building a single, system-wide platform that helps every patient get gold-standard, efficient, and joined-up care.

What started as a way for GPs to text a patient has now evolved into an all-in-one digital toolkit used by 98% of GP practices.

Our platform now powers Total Triage to manage patient demand, and Self-Book, which lets patients schedule their own appointments in seconds. We’ve automated routine care with Patient Questionnaires for long-term conditions, while Accumail finally allows staff-to-staff communication to happen instantly across different care settings. We’re now pushing the boundaries of the consultation itself with Accurx Scribe, our AI-powered note-taker that drafts medical notes in real-time.

We’re not just shipping features. We’re giving clinicians their time back and ensuring every patient journey is as smooth as it should be.

Challenges you’ll solve...

You'll join the Neighbourhoods team as a 12-month maternity cover, in a live, embedded design role on one of our most strategically important products. Neighbourhood working is a major shift in how NHS care is delivered, and our next phase of roadmap is still taking shape - so you'll be able to have real influence over the problems we solve.

  • Get productive fast: Pick up in-flight work in a complex domain and contribute early. You'll have support, but you won't need a long runway to get started.

  • Meaningful contribution: Work across a developing roadmap for Neighbourhood working, made up of a mix of smaller, iterative pieces of work and larger projects; you'll need to understand how your piece of work fits the bigger picture as priorities take shape. You’ll be able to help shape the roadmap, not just deliver against it.

  • Get close to our users: Spend time with healthcare professionals to identify and help solve real problems.

  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Product, Engineering, Data and User Research as a strong voice for design, delivering at pace.

  • Bigger picture thinking: Neighbourhood working touches many parts of our product. You'll work with designers outside of your pod to ensure a simple end-to-end experience, and contribute to our design system (Pulse) - extending it where neighbourhood patterns aren't yet served, rather than diverging from it.

  • Set up for success: A clean handover at the end of the contract is part of the work: clear documentation, decisions and rationale captured, so the returning designer has a smooth transition back to work.

You should apply if...

  • You have 2-3 years' experience at Senior Product Designer level.

  • You have demonstrable, human-centred product design skills: helping define research goals, running collaborative ideation sessions, interpreting findings, and designing solutions.

  • You have strong systems-thinking and are comfortable context-switching between different pieces of work as priorities evolve.

  • You are confident scoping design ideas with stakeholders of different disciplines.

  • You're comfortable integrating quickly into an existing team and existing work, without needing a long lead-in period.

  • You're open to using AI tools as part of your design workflow - we're not looking for an AI specialist, but resistance to adopting them would be a mismatch here.

  • Nice to have: prior healthcare experience or exposure to designing for sensitive patient care journeys - this shortens the ramp-up considerably given the contract length.

What’s in it for me?

You'll be joining an established but fast-growing Tech for Good movement, where we're led by our Principles and our mission to solve healthcare productivity.

  • £70,000 - £85,000 salary

  • Benefits to suit you: adjust your healthcare cover, your pension or life insurance, whatever stage you’re at in life

  • Flexible working: We are an office first culture and ask that you’re in our (dog-friendly) Shoreditch office 3 days a week, with core hours of 10am - 4pm

  • Time off: You’ll get 28 days of holiday (plus bank holidays) and up to 4 weeks to work from anywhere per year

  • We have our very own Chef! Free healthy breakfasts, snacks and lunches will be provided, with the occasional sweet treat!
