Your role: Sales Representative
Your Responsibilities:
Sales Execution & Growth: Execute assigned sales activities, implement field marketing, and deliver on quarterly sales targets to drive Pet Health portfolio growth and market share across North and Center Portugal.
Pharmacy & Customer Engagement: Build strong, long-term relationships with pharmacists, pharmacy owners, distributors, and key influencers; apply Elanco customer value selling skills to uncover customer needs and ensure a positive customer experience.
Direct-to-Pharmacy & Sell-Out Strategy: Support the direct-to-pharmacy approach, execute demand generation activities (product training, displays), and monitor sell-out plans to increase product distribution, visibility, recommendation, and rotation.
Performance Tracking & Market Insights: Track business results, CRM compliance, and sell-in/sell-out data; monitor sales deviations to develop corrective actions and provide actionable customer insights back to Elanco management and marketing.
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
Education in Veterinary Medicine, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or a related field.
High level of English (spoken & written).
Customer-oriented mindset with strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Inquisitive, self-starting, and results-oriented with strong learning agility.
Ability to set priorities, manage multiple tasks, and work effectively as part of a team.
Positive attitude alignment with Elanco Cultural Pillars and passion for animal health.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):
Previous commercial, sales, or customer-facing experience (working directly with pharmacies or pharmacy groups is desirable).
Proven sales performance history (consistently achieving results above team average).
Good understanding of pharmacy channel dynamics, retail execution, and customer business drivers.
Veterinary business, product, and disease knowledge (recognized as a value-adding partner by vets).
Ability to establish boardroom relationships with senior managers and key stakeholders.

Travel: over 50%
Location: North/Center Portugal
Flexibility to participate in evening and/or weekend business events
